Yumi & Fumi Handmade Peek-a-Boo Spring NEW Release!!

Hello!!  It's Release Day at Yumi & Fumi Handmade!  We're so happy you could join us today.
"Before we start the showcase, we'd like to say a huge Welcome & ALOOOHAAA to our friends Cliff & Cheryl of J's Knicknacks in Honolulu, HI.  J's is the first to carry Yumi & Fumi Handmade stamps in their store and we're really happy and excited about it!!  If you live in the area please stop by and say Hello and pick up a few of our stamps.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to J's Knicknacks for being our firsts!!
Yes, that means we've gone wholesale!  If you'd like to see our stamps in your local craft store please ask them to send us an email at
Today we’re excited to show you our newest stamps created with a little whimsy in mind.  When coming up with this new stamp line we wanted to do something a little different but still keep fun and cute in mind.  We came up with the idea of our characters peeking around a corner, laying in the grass, and maybe even peeking over something.  Then we thought it would be even cuter to add in our own little critter friends to go along with us.  That is how the Peek-a-Boo series was born.
These stamps are the same quality as our other stamps and all made in the USA.  Made of deeply etched red rubber on cling mount they are also scroll cut and indexed for easy stamping.  The only difference is they are much smaller than our normal sized images, but that doesn't detract from their cuteness.
Each stamp retails for $7.50, but for a limited time you can purchase a bundle pack of all 4 stamps for the low price of $25 until Monday, April 8th at 5pm pst.  (This offer only applies in the Yumi & Fumi Handmade store
Time to welcome our Peek-a-Boo friends into the ohana…"
(my sample follows the package graphic)

Chuckles is so smile-y, isn't he?  So I thought the Paper Smooches sentiment and the bright Doodlebug papers would be appropriate for him.  Mostly also because I couldn't think of anything clever to go with the gecko.

The sentiments on this card is also from Paper Smooches.  The papers are from Basic Grey.  Love the cute little turtle with the flower in his mouth!  I wanted Fumi to look as if she were peeking out from a wall so I embossed that part of the image with Tim Holtz embossing folder.

This is my favorite image of this series!  Yumi looks so contemplative, doesn't she, which is why I chose that sentiment from Lawn Fawn.  Doodlebug papers again with a felt flower I made a long time ago.  Added a button and some pearls too.

I don't have a card with AJ alone.  Instead he is joined by Chuckles and Fumi!  I thought this would be a fun group card.  I used my Perfect Layers rulers to create the layers around the images and the sentiment.  Also added some flowers and grass from CC Cutters.

Aren't they all cute and fun!  Be sure to check out more awesome creations by the DT HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

August 2012

Hi!  We had a short black out this morning and I didn't know what to do without my computer and internet, and I couldn't go blog surfing.  I was sad but I did cut everything out for my kids' Halloween goody bags.  Good thing my Big Shot isn't electric.

Anyway, I made another page to my 2012 calendar/scrapbook using MFT's sketch #39 and Pure Innocence Year of Flowers series Poppy.

Here's my page.  Somehow I'm not loving this one too much.  I love the image but somehow the colors remind me of fall too much and not too summery.  And I think the proportions are a bit off.  But I decided to just stick with it.  It's still cute.

Here's a picture of both pages.

I'm gonna have to wait til I order the next couple months to continue.  But I'm happy I've made it this far!

The kiddies are home for fall break.  It's nice but messy and noisy.  It may be a long week.

Thanks for reading!

all occasion tags

Hello!  I have more tags to share today.  I kept these simple too to be used on most any occasion.  They have no sentiments on them.

I used MFT's cute Birdie Brown Bitty Bears stamp set.  These were on my wish list for a while and I kept going back and forth about purchasing them especially because I wanted the dies to cut them out too and those were very expensive!  Geez, remember the old days when we used to fussy cut everything out by hand?

This is the next 6 tags.  There's also a cute bear with a Santa hat that I didn't include in the photos.  This was a pretty quick project since I kept the bears white!  Not much coloring on these tags but they are still cute and colorful.

I thought I was going to be doing more stamping but I've actually gone on to crochet more!  I've made 3 more crochet projects that I'll share soon.  Sometimes I do get the urge to color something but these days it's so much easier to pick up some yarn and my hook and crochet.  And th…
