Dream & Happy Mother's Day!

***********************************************************************************
Hello!  It's my last day to share Sister Stamps projects.  So sad!  I had a lot of fun playing with these cute new stamps.  Thanks again for the opportunity, Jenny!  I made a few projects with Haruyo.  Her costume reminds me of the ones worn by dancers during Okinawan performances.  See HERE for a picture.  My sister-in-law studies traditional Okinawan dancing and music so Haruyo reminded me of her and I also thought my in-laws would love this image.

I made this with 4 layers of thin cardboard I had lying around.  I added washi tape around the edges and just decorated the front.  I wanted the girls to look like they were dancing.

I also made a couple of simple Mother's Day cards.  Hopefully they will like them.  The sentiment and tags are from Papertrey Ink.

Close up of one of the girls.

My last project was kind of an experiment that I need to work on!  I had seen this tutorial on SCS about stamping on air drying clay.  Such a neat idea, isn't it?  After seeing the tutorial I went out and bought some air drying clay.  But I think I am too impatient for one thing to let the clay dry completely.  And I should've rolled the clay a bit thinner so maybe that would let the clay dry faster.  I think it took a few days to a week to completely dry and it's not a large piece of clay.  And to get the right impression takes some practice but overall I thought this was such a fun idea.  I used watercolors to paint it after.  I think this would make a fun kids' project too!

Don't forget to stop over at the Sister Stamps blog and Debi's too!  These stamps will be available May 1st!

Thanks so much for dropping by!

On to my projects!  I made 2 cards.

The first card features Lawn Fawn's Happy Summer stamp set and papers from Pink Lemonade.  These papers are so happy and cheery, perfect for summer!  I used Perfect Layers rulers to create a mat around the watermelons.  I wanted to create a fun card so it's a bit interactive.

Here is a close up of the ants carrying one of the watermelons.

You can pull the banner to see the ants carrying the watermelon away.

I used Summertime Charm, the coordinating die set and Pink Lemonade paper pad for my second card.  The black paper is from Elle's Studio.  I love these dies!  They are so easy to use because you can see where you are lining up the die with the image.  And it leaves just the right amount of a border around the image.  I wish more companies would make their dies like this especially if the dies are supposed to coordinate with an image.  Even the little fireflies were so easy to cut!  I stamped and heat embossed the jar onto clear cardstock and then cut it out with the matching die.  I used Perfect Layers rulers to mat my sentiment and the black layer.

I am sure you want to get going on the hop so the very creative Pam Sparks is next!

Thank you stopping by!

So sweet & So much joy

Hello again!  I am back to share more Sister Stamps cuteness.  These stamps will be available May 1st.  I think they are quite popular in Hawaii since they really appeal to all the local folks here.  I still remember trying to buy some of their stamps on a release day and the store was already sold out on some of them!  Today is Shin-Shin's turn to be in the spotlight.

Isn't she adorable?  My kids love her so much.  I made this for my daughter.  It holds a bunch of small post-it notes inside and I got it from our financial planner for my birthday.  They always send little gifts and I never know what to do with them since they are always covered with their photos and business names.  So I thought I'd alter it a bit so it would be cuter.  I added washi tape to the spine and paper and tags from Elle's Studio.  These little tags make crafting and card making so easy!

Here's a little close up.

I also created a card with Shin-Shin.  All papers and tag are from Elle's Studio.  I know I have a bunch of stuff from them still.  I think Shin-Shin looks super cute sitting there.

This close up looks the same as the other one!  Just didn't leave any white border around the image though.

Be sure to check out Sister Stamps and Debi's blog too!  Stop by tomorrow for my last set of projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

So Happy & So Lucky!

Hello!!!  It's me!  I get to Guest Design with Sister Stamps May release!  Woohoo!  Thanks, Jenny!  And look at these cuties this month.  Gotta totally love these girls and that cute little panda.  I really wondered what I should make and so I made a couple of things for today's post featuring Li-Li.

I made a CAS card because I love to showcase these cute images.  They are so fun to color and quick too.  I was wondering though what color a panda's tail is?  I even Googled it and I think it is mostly white.  I was kind of fixated on that for a while and had to search for the answer.  The circle tag and banner are from Elle's Studio.

A little close up of Li-Li but I realize that I forgot to rub on some color onto the panda's cheeks!

I also altered this mini composition book that I had still on my desk!  I wrapped the spine of the book with washi tape so it is still flexible.  The papers and circle tag are from Elle's Studio.

I love the expression on the panda's face.  So cute!

I have a bunch more stuff to share the next couple days.  Yeah, once I started making stuff, I couldn't quite stop.  Be sure to also stop by the Sister Stamp's blog and Debi's blog too for more inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

All That Scraps April Review

Hello!  Wow, seems like I haven't been blogging as much.  But I am making stuff!  Lots to share soon!  Today is a review day for Sweet November Stamps over at All That Scraps.

Here is Josie's Brella.  Love these little fairwees.  She's so sweet!  And I love how easy they are to color because of their little size.  It's so quick to make a little card.  The sentiment is from AmyR Welcome Little One.

Yumi and Fumi Challenge #14 reminder

Hello!  There is still time to enter Yumi & Fumi Handmade's Challenge #14 -- multiple folds.  I decided to make another flip card from this tutorial that I found HERE

I used Yumi with Birdie and added a sentiment (a little birdie told me) from CC Designs.  I think the grass might make the second half of the sentiment difficult to see.  Those corner dies I got from Lala Land Crafts.  I've been wanting some kind of corner dies for a while now so I finally caved and bought this one.  And the flowers were from Kim Yu.  She's so sweet to have sent me a whole bunch of flowers for my birthday.  Thank you!

This is the inside.  The sentiments are from Paper Smooches.

I hope you'll check out what Kim has made too!  It is an awesome card that I'll have to try.  It looks so neat!  Check it out HERE

Yumi & Fumi Handmade is also having a SALE until Monday so check it out before it's too late!  Don't forget about the Spread the Love event too!  Lots of prizes!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

All That Scraps April Review

Please click HERE for Perfect Paper Crafting and Elle's Studio Blog Hop!
***********************************************************************************

Hello!  Today is review day at All That Scraps.  I'm sharing a card that features a sweet stamp called Mom's Heels from Drozy's Darlings.

Did you ever dress up in your mom's clothes?  I don't think I ever did but I do remember trying on heels.  Maybe that's way I love shoes way more than clothes.  Which reminds me that I really do need some new shoes soon.  Guess I'll have to go shopping.  Anyway, these pretty papers are from Wild Rose Studio.  I thought I would use them for Valentine's Day but then never got around to them.  The sentiment is from Webbie's Words Baby Cakes.

I added some Stickles to her wings and liquid pearls.  And I'm still using my latest Spellbinders dies.  I love this shape!

Thanks for stopping by!

Perfect Paper Crafting and Elle's Studio Blog Hop!!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Perfect Paper Crafting and Elle's Studio Blog Hop!  I am so excited to share what I've made but before I do, I want to mention what the prizes are.  Elle's Studio is generously giving away the entire Serendipity and Day to Day lines to one winner.  Perfect Paper Crafting will be giving away a $50 gift certificate to their online store to one winner.  All you have to do is leave a comment on each blog on the hop to be eligible for the prizes.  You have until Friday, April 19th at Midnight PST to leave your comments.  Good luck!

Here is the blog hop list:
Eva Uyeunten (ME!)

I made 3 projects for this hop!  So hopefully you'll stick with me.  Elle's Studio is a new company to me and I already love their products!  I didn't know what I wanted to make since I haven't scrapbooked in a while and I felt all rusty but it was so easy to put these projects together because everything is so well coordinated.

I made this mini scrapbook first and bound it with my Cinch.  I love it!  I used all the 4x6 journaling tags and tabs from the Serendipity line.  I added some 4x6 cardstock as well for extra pages.  I just so happen to have some 4x6 chipboard lying around for the covers and so everything came together easily.  I wrapped the edges of my covers with washi tape before decorating them.  And I even used the cute packaging from the products (in pink above) as a mat.

I'll share a couple of pages.  I also had some Instagram style photos lying around so I trimmed them to look more like Polaroids and then matted them with my Perfect Layers rulers.  I stamped that fun sentiment which is also from Elle's Studio.  I like the quality of their clear stamps!  And everything is so nice and matching!

Here is another page.  I haven't added any personal journaling yet.  I thought I could throw it into my purse and add my journaling while I'm waiting for the kids at school.

So after I made the first book, I thought I'd make a second one with the products from the You & Me line.  I used one of the tags for the cover and matted that with the Perfect Layers rulers.  This was so fast and simple too since I used the journaling tags and tabs as my pages.  All I have to do is add my photos.

Here is the inside of how I bound the smaller tags/tabs into the books.  I love how these little books came out and I can't wait to make more for every occasion like birthdays and Halloween and Christmas.  I'm so excited!

And because I like to make cards, I made a card.  Elle's Studio had the cutest papers, tags and sentiments.  I just used one of the 4x6 journaling tags as the front of my card.

I added this cute stamp from The Greeting Farm that I matted with my rulers.  The sentiment below the stamped image I cut out from that little perforated strip of the 12x12 paper.

Okay, I don't want to keep you here any longer so you can continue on with the hop.  Next up is Keri Babbitt.

Thank you for stopping by!

More baby cards

Hello.  Yay, Friday!  Well, before the craziness of the weekend, I thought I'd post my last 2 baby cards.  It takes me a while to get around to writing these posts too...followed last week's sketch on Splitcoaststampers.

I forget what company this lion stamp is from as I threw away the packaging, but it was a boy baby/child clear stamp set on clearance a long time ago at Michaels.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  The papers are also kind of old, Heidi Grace from Joanns.  The scallop border is a MFT die-namics.
Same basic layout for this card, except I left the scallop border a little longer since it was uneven on the previous card.  Stamps are from Paper Smooches.  Paper is DCWV Nana's Nursery, also bought a long time ago that I never got around to using for its original purpose of a baby scrapbook.  Cardstock is Papertrey ink.

This was the original sketch, I changed the last rectangle to a scalloped circle.

Well, have a great weekend!

All That Scraps April Review

Hello!  Here's a card I created for All That Scraps review of CC Designs' April stamps.

This is 'Stache Monkey.  Still love that mustache!  I stamped lots of mustaches in the background from For My Guy.  The sentiment is also from For My Guy.  I love this Grunge Tag too.  It's actually a bit longer but I did some partial die cutting to cut it shorter to fit my card.

I wanted to say thank you for all the fun birthday cards and well wishes!  I had a relaxing day eating lots of food.  Though my most favorite thing was taking a nap without worrying about picking up kids or cooking dinner or something.  Peace of mind for a couple of hours.  Maybe I worry too much?

Thanks so much stopping by!

40

Hello.  Quick post to get my card into the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Challenge.  Technically it's their 4th birthday, not 40th, but close enough, right?
Slightly larger than usual card to fit the MFT Die-namics doily on there.  The numbers were 7 gypsies stamps, punched out with Marvy punches.  Flowers stamps/dies, and sentiment stamp are from Papertrey Ink.
I actually decorated the inside too which I don't usually do, but I stamped the flowers about a bazillion times trying to get them lined up straight plus I had to try all the stamps in the set so not all the flowers could fit on the front.
