Craft Fair #2 review and lots of rambling

Hello!  If you've been keeping up with my blog or fb page (personal or business), you know I was at another craft fair, the Moanalua 99 Craft Fair this past Sunday.  It was actually the first time we had been there since 99 Ranch Market closed up so didn't know what it would be like at all.  We like to stalk or check out the fairs before hand and then sign up but this one didn't work out like that.  I was kind of lost even though I had a map!  But the regular vendors were all so nice and they tried to help us find our spot.  Funny that they didn't know what space number they were but just that they always set up in that particular space.  Eventually we found our 5x6 foot space, at least we think that was the right space.

One of the highlights of this fair was meeting Jayne, from Handmade Cuties blog and she has a cute Etsy store called Bead Crumbs too.  You should check it out.  She makes the tiniest and cutest beaded creations.  I have a couple hanging from my phone and people always ask me about them.  We also met another nice lady who knew my husband's Aunty Lianne from Cute Stuff.  Should've ask for her name!

The only drawback of this fair is that the whole area is rather dark inside.  And as luck would have it, not only was it dark but the light above my space was broken!  So double-ly dark for me.  So if we are there again, we need to bring our own lights although I don't know where we'd plug them in.

While I was writing this post, I was finishing up cooking dinner for tonight.  We're having somen salad which is pretty easy to make, just kind of time consuming to chop and prep the ingredients.  I've been cooking a lot lately mostly because our kids are growing and eating so much more!  Dinners that used to last 2 nights, just last one now.  And I'm tired of cooking!  Usually when I'm lazy to cook, I make breakfast for dinner.  You know, like eggs and spam or some other artificial meat in a can.  Or we make omelettes.  My kids love that.  What is your go to dinner when you're lazy to cook?

Oh, here's a sneaky peak at what I'm working on for Sister Stamps latest release coming up in the next few days.  Little shakers for something!  All the sequins and microbeads I used here can be found in my Etsy store.  And I do have more to list but wow, it's so time consuming!  But can't wait to share my projects!

Thanks for stopping by today!

penguin tags and craft fair reminder

Hello!  Yesterday I finished making up 30 penguin tags for the upcoming craft fair I'll be at.  Seems like there is never enough time to make everything you want to make, right?  I guess it's partly because I want to make everything!  I am trying to cut back on that!  I still have lots to pack up and inventory.  I think that might be my least favorite part of this whole venture.  All the paper work and keeping track of everything makes my brain hurt.  But I want to start so I am not rushing at the last minute.

These cute penguins are from Mama Elephant.  But the speech bubble, to and heart is from Lawn Fawn.  I did some masking to place the penguin's Santa hat and then to place him onto the floating iceberg.

Here is another penguin.  He looks a bit wobbly.

Then the last penguin who is on his behind.  These are so cute to add to gifts.  I'll be packing them in sets of 5 for the fair.

The Moanalua 99 Craft Fair is on Sunday, September 20th from 10 am to 3 pm.  Hope you can make it!  My Etsy store will be closed, I think possibly from tonight until a couple days after the fair so I can update my listings.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

burlap joy bags & my next craft fair!

Hello!  Wow, I think I need to nap from the 3 day weekend we had.  Either that or drink some coffee which I think I need to start up again just so I can have some energy in the mornings.  I had some coffee over the weekend and I felt like crafting all day!

I purchased these cute drawstring burlap bags and added the fabric joy sentiments onto them.  I made something similar to these before on smaller muslin bags.  These burlap bags seem much more practical since they are larger and can even hold a gift card, perfect for the upcoming holidays.

I also made small kraft tags with red twine to go along with these bags.  You'll have to practice some small handwriting as these tags are small but this size seems more proportional to the larger burlap bags.

Here's a giftcard hanging from the top of the bag.  I'll be posting these photos onto its Etsy listing which is why I have that disclaimer up there.  Can't be too careful these days as a seller or buyer.  Need to take lots of precautions in either role.

Here's how it looks gently stuffed.  I'd take into consideration where the drawstring closes to see if your small wrapped treat/favor/gift would fit in here.

And I just got confirmation for my next craft fair.  If you are local, come visit me at the Moanalua 99 Craft Fair (where 99 Ranch Market used to be) on Sunday, September 20th from 10 am - 3 pm.  I'll have some handmade cards, potholders, tote bags, fabric wine bags, some of these joy bags, and jewelry.  Free parking and lots of wonderful AC for these hot, humid days.

Thanks for stopping by!
