batty for you

Hello!  I just finished up this cute baby bat amigurumi.  I made it following a pattern I purchased HERE .  My bat turned out a bit smaller because I used a smaller crochet hook and my yarn is a bit thinner. Isn't he adorable?!  His wings can open and close too. Here he is hanging on my finger.  My finger looks really short here.  I guess I really do have short little fingers.  He is a cute project to make for Halloween. Lately I have been multicrafting (like multitasking but just for craft projects).  Can I trademark that term, multicrafting?  No one steal that, please.  I think it has helped me get more done.  I have set up different areas for different tasks.  I have a stamping/coloring area, diecutting area and crocheting area.  I used to try to finish one project at a time but I realized my attention is too short, and I would get bored or tired of my current project but couldn't go on to another one cause I ...

You Can Always Lean On Me

Hi!  Well I know I said I'd only be entering one time but I did end up making one more card for the Innovation category of MFT's Challenge .  I had wanted to do something with magnets because my kids have these tiny magnets in their bead box.  I think they are for making bracelets so I grabbed couple of them.  I wasn't sure what I was making but then thought of something the other night.  These magnets are oval in shape and they have a hole in the middle to thread string, I think. This is the card I made featuring Birdie Brown's Happy Hedgehogs.  Love, love, love Birdie Brown's images and cards!  I did some masking with the larger hedgehog to sit on the log which I also lengthened.  I used the stitched border background again from Blueprints 25.  The yellow sun is cut from the Stitched Arched dies and I blended with distress oxide. Also used the mini cloud stencil to blend in the background using distress oxide.  Under the lo...

Welcome, Little One

Hello!  So I probably do this often.  Like think about joining in on a challenge but actually not do anything until the last minute.  I spent almost the whole day yesterday coloring up the images and thinking about the layout for a Clean and Simple Card.  What a misnomer!  CAS cards are sometimes not that simple and if you saw my crafting area, it's not very clean either.  But finally done today to enter my card into My Favorite Things Card Design Challenge .  I made a baby girl card using MFT's Cuddly Koalas.  I stamped the koala image, colored with Copics and fussy cut them out.  Now that I have old eyes, it's hard to color in the tiny details and even cutting is getting difficult.  Why do our eyes have to get old too? I used MFT's Blueprints 25 for the stitched background which is the perfect size of an A2 card.  Love it! I used watercolor cardstock for the background because I love how the texture looks when blending....
