Butterfly Lucy

Hi!  I made a card for Flutter By Wednesday's 200th and last challenge .  I'll miss the challenges!  Here's the sketch for the last challenge. I decided to go with CC Designs Butterfly Lucy.  Isn't she sweet?  I love the flower border too also from CC Designs.  I got the grass die even though I have one from MFT because this one is a bit shorter and fits the flower border nicely. I added some glossy accents on her hair accessories and the dots on her dress.  No, she's not eating the butterfly like my husband had first thought.  Geez, I don't understand him sometimes. I also used the little saying from CC Designs Spring Logos and stamped it onto a cloudy background.  The butterfly is from CC Designs Butterfly Border that I love.  I'd also like to enter this into Paper Sundaes Challenge #118 -- Ribbon and Pearls , Stamp and Create April Challenge -- Spring , and Ribbon Carousel Challenge 50 -- Anything Goes . I had a nice day today with

You're an angel

Hi!  I'm hoping this will be a quick post cause I want to sleep!  So let's get all the challenge info out of the way.  Pretty interesting and convenient that TGF and Young Crafters Unite would both have a No Coloring challenge.  It was a nice change of pace to not have to color. Oh, I'm also using Veronica's Sketch from TGF's Saturday Sketch over at SCS .  I liked this sketch.  Pretty and manageable. Here is my card.  I know I said I wouldn't photograph at night anymore but otherwise I might miss the TGF deadline.  I used TGF's Angel Anya and did a bit of heat embossing with her.  I made yet another cloudy background.  I'm addicted, I think.  I added some stickles to her halo and wings and added a tiny pink bow.  The sentiment is also from TGF that I picked up during their Farmers Market sale.  I love those sales! Okay, I think it's a record time for posting for me.  I'm gonna link up and then go to bed.  Thanks for reading!

Butterfly Butterfly

Hi!  Wow, how often does Blogger change their "look?"  Trying to get used to the new one.  I'm feeling a lot better today.  Thanks, everyone!  I thought I'd play along in Flutter By Wednesday's Challenge #199 which is to case Danni's first card .  This is almost the last challenge as Danni will close the challenge blog after the 200th challenge.  I didn't get to play too long but it was fun.  I followed the basic layout of Danni's card and the blue colors.  But I did add the bow and the circular die cuts.  I used CC Designs Ima Butterfly.  She's such a cutie too!  I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of her with Copics.  I added some highlights with a white gel pen.  I also masked in the clouds in the background using PTI's cloud die.  I really like the look of the clouds. The sentiment is also from CC Designs which I heat embossed and cut out with a Spellbinders circle die.  The blue die cut is from PTI as is the ribbon.

Nymph Lucy

Hi!  I've been sick this whole week since I think I have the flu that my youngest had.  It literally kicked my butt and I had to sleep early every night like 8 or 9 and then sleep some more after dropping off the kids.  So even though I wanted to make this next card, it took me a while to put together.  This is for the following challenges:  iCopic Weekly Challenge #78 -- Spring Colors , Sweet Stampin' Pixies Challenge #2 -- Use Kraft ,  All That Scraps -- Anything Goes , and Anyone For Anya -- Sketch . I love the recent releases over at CC Designs, especially Nymph Lucy.  I don't know why but she's so darn cute.  If you've been a long time follower you would know that I had a hard time loving images that lacked a mouth.  It's because they could look spooky to some degree, couldn't they?  Like some scary horror story (Obake!).  So it even took me a while to use TGF's Miss Anya stamps.  Even my kids will notice that first, She doesn't have a

musical movies

Hi!  Hmmm, this may be a longer than usual post as I think I may have gone a little overboard participating in The Greeting Farm's April Customer Challenge over on SCS .  I think because I had a little crafting mini break that I tried to make up for it by making 3 cards over the weekend.  I'll be sharing all 3 in this post since the deadline for this challenge is Monday.  The challenge is create a card inspired by a Musical Play or a Musical Movie.   For the first card, I followed sketch #47 at The Deconstructed Sketch .  When I was a kid, I loved the movie Annie!  I loved the songs and everything.  So this is my version of it.  I used TGF's Stella (body) and Nahla's head.   I'm thinking she looks kind of sad but maybe hopeful too?  I ended up cutting off her little pigtails and wiping away Stella's envelope in her hands. It's hard to tell but I did sponge on some clouds behind her but the lighting makes it look like a plain piece of white cardstock

rainbow hearts

Hi!  Feels like a while since I made anything.  I've been taking a break from crafting and went on a field trip with my son and his class.  I even got my haircut and did a bit of window shopping yesterday at the mall.  I finally finished up a card last night for Tiddly Inks photo inspiration challenge (with a subtle 2).  You can click on the link to see the photo.  Rainbow colors!  That's what I went with. I chose Heartfelt Love cause I love Wryn and those hanging hearts!  Colored the hearts in rainbow colors and yes, I have to admit I forgot about the subtle 2 part til the end and thought darn it, what about subtle 3?  Like 3 hearts and 3 rhinestones?  Okay, so I had just tied the twine on so I just looped it around again for the 2.  And there are also the 2 rows of polka dots around the image.  I also rounded the bottom corners of this card. I knew I wanted to color the hearts all rainbow-y so I started looking for a sentiment or a quote about rainbows and hearts and fou

love notes

Hi!  Hope you all had a great Easter!  I think I'm still recovering and we have a whole lot of boiled eggs to eat!  After this post, I may need a nap.  Hehe.  I've been wanting to play around with TGF's clear stamp set, Flutter Heart for a while now.  And I thought the current Farm Fresh Friday Challenge -- Good Things Come in Small Sizes would be a good fit for this set. I made a small box (3.25 inch square) to fit 7 little note cards and envelopes.  The note cards are about 3 x 3 inches.  All the images/sentiments are from Flutter Heart.  The only thing not from this set is the NOTES sentiment above which is from PTI's Simple Alphabet.  I did a bit of selective stamping to just get the tag so I could stamp NOTES in red (it usually reads I Love You).  The cover of the box is made from clear cardstock (acetate) from PTI.  The first card says Love so it would read Love NOTES. Some of the note cards.  Another bunch of cards. A little close up of one.  I used MF

Bella's birthday

Hi!  Ready for another Wild Rose Studio Bella card?  I know lots of you fell in love with the one I made HERE .  I bought my Bella stamps from All That Scraps but they are selling out pretty quickly.  iCopic is another place I know sells them but they may be selling out as well.  Oh, check out Stamp and Create too.  Really, who can resist cute, chubby little Bella?  Love her!  Every time I write Bella, it reminds me Edward's Bella from Twilight, hahaha.  Bella the elephant is way cuter! I followed the current sketch at The Deconstructed Sketch #46 . Okay, so everyone say it with me, awwwww, she's so cute!  This image is called Bella's Birthday, hence my post title.  I know, I'm so witty like that.  Bella is so quick to color up too since I just made her gray but now I'm thinking she could be a lot of fun whimsical colors like blue and pink and purple. I colored in the dots of her balloon with my white gel pen and then added stickles to them.  The tiny tag

Happy Spring from Simply Anya

Hi!  It's another sunny day here.  And it's not too hot yet so I'm not gonna complain.  The card I have to share today was inspired by TGF's Case Any Challenge DT .  I chose to case a card by Margie HERE .  It's actually one of her older cards but I really liked all the kraft cardstock and the layout too.  I also wanted a spring time card to go along with 7 Kids Challenge -- Shades of Spring and Ribbon Carousel Challenge 47 -- Spring is in the Air .  And of course butterflies go so nicely with the spring theme so this is also for Flutter by Wednesday #197 -- open challenge .  Here's the little card I made using Simply Anya that I received for my last TGF win.  She's so adorable and so versatile for any occasion.  I added some tiny pearls as her earrings.  I thought about sticking something in her hands (she's just like Fancy Anya) like an Easter basket or something or maybe even a flower but kept it simple.  I love this paper pad from Doodlebug call
