Sister Stamps Release #17 -- Reindeer

Hello!  Today is the last day of previews and all of these cuties will be available on Sunday, September 1st.  Do you have a favorite?  I think I am partial to the crane but I love the reindeer too.  But Minoru is a cutie too especially if you have a little boy. Here is my project featuring the Reindeer image.  I was feeling ambitious and thought I'm gonna put together a December Daily mini book.  Well, here's the cover.  After I cut out pages for the inside, I started thinking how do I know how many pages I might need?  What if I want to share more than one photo for each day?  Although I guess you're trying to limit it to one photo a day?  Anyway, I thought I had too many questions about that so I made the covers and I cut some pages and used some Elle's Studio journaling tags but didn't bind it yet.  I think I will wait til December.  Hopefully I will finish it.  I think that is how the story goes for most of my scrapbooking ideas! I had lots of fun col

Sister Stamps Release #17 -- Sleigh

Hi again!  Welcome back for another preview of Sister Stamps latest release! My project features Sleigh.  It is actually a pretty large card at 6 by 6 inches.  I really didn't know what I was going to do with this image after I colored it.  I thought about coloring in a background with my Copics but thought that might be super hard since I haven't done it before.  Then I remembered I had this paper from Wild Rose Studio and thought it matched so perfectly.  The sentiment is from CC Designs and I heat embossed it in gold.  I love how this came together. Here is a close up of the kids and the crane.  Aren't they cute?  And I love the crane.  I stamped the image directly onto the paper and then pieced the colored image over that.  I drew over the black lines so it would stand out more. This is the inside.  I usually don't do anything with the inside of cards but I added another simple sentiment from CC Designs and embossed that in gold as well. Please visi

Sister Stamps Release #17 -- Minoru

Hi!  Ready for the next Sister Stamps release?  Release #17 is all about Christmas and will be available September 1st!  These new images are totally adorable and so original! I'm gonna be starting off Minoru.  I love the wreath!  I used my Stampin' Up stocking die again but this time just used cardstock instead of felt.  Also got to use the embossing folder that I got just for this die.  Isn't it very Christmas-y?  I placed Minoru over some MFT banners and papers are from Doodlebug.  I had just the right little scrap of paper that said Holly Jolly.  Yeah, I save even the tiniest scraps. The stocking is a card that opens up and inside it is a little place to put a gift card.  This gift card holder is MFT's vertical gift card holder die and the sentiment comes from it's matching stamp set.  The sentiment was heat embossed in white. Please stop by and visit the ladies below for more Sister Stamps creations! Steph (Guest DT) Jenny (Sister Stamps)

CC Designs August Review -- Sweet November Stamps

Hi!  It's time for CC Designs August Review of Sweet November Stamps .  Today I have another little tag to share.  I know, lots of tags lately.  But I know I will be using them for little Halloween goodies soon. So here is Tish on this banner tag (MFT dies).  Kind of looks like a bookmark too.  The skull and eyeballs can be found in the October 31 Accessories set.  Lots of fun stuff in that set for Halloween.  The sentiment is from AmyR's Witch-ful Thinking set.  The sentiment I used is pretty simple but the set also includes lots of fun and creative Halloween ones too. Here is a little close up photo.  Do you like the little spider on the paper?  Love these papers. Please head over to CC Designs blog for more Sweet November inspiration! The other day I found myself crafting on my living room floor.  That's how I used to do things until I set up a table in my kids' play area.  But I still haven't finish organizing my crafty area and didn't have e

Faith

Hi all!  Sorry I have not been blog hopping lately.  I feel like I have a lot of little errands and chores to do.  Yesterday, we cleaned my daughter's bedroom although our intent was just to put in a "new" dresser and remove the old ones but somehow one thing led to another and we ended up cleaning her closet and her windows.  And then of course why not vacuum everything since everything is out of the way too.  So that cleaning and purging left me with more laundry to do and somehow led me to start rearranging and rethinking my craft area.  I need to get rid of some stuff!   I made a very simple card a while ago but just didn't post it. This is Faith from Stamping Bella.  I made this card just to try out my new red Copic combo. These reds were a little harder to color nicely inside the lines since they were so new.  I added some Stickles too. Anyway, I have been thinking about selling some of my old Papertrey Ink dies and stamp sets.  But after reading som

CC Designs August Review -- Drozy's Darlings

Hello!  I know my posts have been a bit sporadic.  I've just been relaxing a bit while the kids are adjusting to school and finally my daughter will start this week.  I will have to get used to a new routine of pick ups and after school activities.  I've written out the new schedule and hopefully it works out okay. Well, it is time to review Drozy's Darlings over at CC Designs . I made another Halloween tag.  I think these will come in handy for some teacher treats.  I'll just attach this to a bag of goodies or something.  The image is Glenda .  The little clouds are cut from felt and are from the Four Season Tree Die .  The sentiment is from AmyR Witch-ful Thinking and is stamped on the Banner Day die .  Here's a close up of Glenda.  I added some glitter using a black glitter gel pen.  And the papers are the new Doodlebug Halloween Parade.  I love this paper pad!  I may have to buy 2 of each paper pad.  One to use and one to hoard.  Hope you'll hop

CC Designs August Review -- Roberto's Rascals

Hello all!  Review day at CC Designs .  We are featuring these cute images from Roberto's Rascals . I used Broom Ride on this Halloween tag.  I think I may need a couple of tags for Halloween treats.  The sentiment is from AmyR's Witch-ful Thinking and I stamped it on the Grunge Envelope die .  The little envelope is cute but I covered it a bit too much.  Oh well. Here is a close up.  I am starting to use my embossing folders more too.  The kitty is too funny! Be sure to check out more cute creations from the DT HERE ! My boys have started school but my oldest doesn't start until next week.  I still feel like I'm a bit on vacation.  I guess it's that in between phase of trying to get into the school routine again.  Hope this school year goes by smoothly!  Thanks so much for reading and have a great week!

CC Designs August Review -- Meoples!

Hi everyone!  Time for review of CC Designs August release !  Today I've got a cute Meoples card to share. This is called Meoples Ghost Spooky .  They are super cute!  I didn't do much coloring on this card at all.  I paper pieced the Spooky letters.  The spider is from Oct 31 Accessories .  I stamped the spider over the paper and pieced just his head on after coloring it.  I traced over his legs with some glitter gel pen to give them more definition since they were getting lost on the web. A little close up of the ghosts. And a close up of the spider. Please check out more creations by the DT HERE . Before I go, thank you to everyone for your comments on my previous post about Mean Moms!  I think if I can get through August, then it should get better because I'm hoping I'll have less contact with them after that.  Thank you for reading!  Hope everyone has a wonderful week!  Oh, my youngest will start Kindergarten this week!  So excited and a little wo

Mean Moms

Hi!  I don't have anything crafty to share today.  I just wanted to vent about Mean Moms.  Do you know any?  Have you seen that movie Mean Girls with Lindsey Lohan?  Mean Moms are just like those mean high school girls but apparently have not moved beyond high school and are still "mean."  I don't think I have encountered many Mean Moms since becoming a mom myself.  But recently I've met a small group of ladies and I think they are Mean Moms.  Well, at least to me they are.  It's not even by choice that I had to meet these moms but more because the circumstances mandated it.  I won't say where I met these ladies or why I need to interact with them but I know that the way they are behaving is in an effort to exclude me.  Well, fine right?  Don't want to be part of a group that doesn't want me anyway, right?  Except I have to communicate with them.  When it first started I thought it was me making a big deal out of nothing.  But little things here an

love you more, monkey!

Hi!  We have an unexpected free day today.  No kiddie activities or obligations.  But it's quickly filling up with chores and cooking.  Ha, there really is never a day with nothing to do.  At least I can still hang out in my pjs and not have to fix my hair.  I think that is the best way to spend the day.  And cooking waffles for lunch.  My kids always ask me to cook them something yummy for breakfast like waffles or pancakes or French toast but lately I'm just too sleepy in the mornings.  So I've decided breakfast for lunch is much easier for us.  And occasionally breakfast for dinner as well.  This is a calendar I made for my middle one's birthday recently.  I did a tutorial on it HERE if you're interested.  Usually I make my kids some kind of book mark for their birthdays but he requested a calendar after he saw the first one I made.  So I made him one with this monkey which is an older CC Designs stamp.  They have it in digi format now and is called Flower P
