a happy accident

Hello!  I finished up a bunch of cards over the weekend.  I had a few images colored up that were just sitting on my desk.  So I finally got them onto cards.  I think I need to use more of the stamps that I do have and stop buying new ones!  It's so tempting when I see all the cute new images though.  I have a bunch on my wish list but I think I need to wait.  Plus everything sure adds up when you throw yarn and fabric into the mix! Here's a card I made using TGF's Your Wings set.  I love the unicorns and the winged creatures (pegasus?) that TGF has created.  They are so pretty and fun to color.  I colored this one in pink and purple tones and added some stickles too.  I had intended to create rainbow clouds (which hopefully I'll get to do on another card) but instead created these pinkish purple clouds which totally matched the image.  A kind of happy accident.  I stamped the sentiment that came with the image and added bright pink heart confetti at the bot

You're O-fish-ally Awesome

Hello!  Wow, June just flew by!  I can't believe this is the last week of June already and I was supposed to share these bear cards for Father's Day a while ago.  But this summer is so relaxing and I haven't been in the mood to blog as much.  I've been crocheting more but now taking a break from that because my left hand gets really sore from crafting and doing chores these days.  Signs of older age? Here is the bear version for Dad using Lawn Fawn's Dad & Me set.  I love the little fishy hanging from the daddy bear's mouth.  I glued it upside down so it looks a bit more dead.  Haha.  The background is blended with distress inks on watercolor paper and the sun and clouds from Taylored Expressions.  Oh, and his hat is super cute too! Here's a card for grandpa too.  I've made a bunch more cards yesterday so I'll be sharing those slowly and listing them in the store as soon as I have the motivation!  Thanks so much for stopping by and ho

Your jokes are always a-moose-ing

Hello!  Just now sharing some cards I made using Lawn Fawn's Dad & Me stamp set.  I made 2 using the moose, one for dad and one for grandpa. I love the puns that Lawn Fawn comes up with -- too cute!  And I love the funny glasses that fit over the moose!  I used a stitched rectangle die and used distress inkpads to create the background.  The sun and clouds are from Taylored Expressions. Here is a card for Grandpa and I used to the same layout and design.  And isn't the baby moose super cute too?  I have come to love blending the background using distress inkpads and a sponge.  It is even easier for me than doing the watercolor backgrounds that I used to do.  I do think blending the inks on thin watercolor cardstock is easier than blending on regular cardstock.  There is a nice texture to watercolor cardstock too. I'll share the cards I made using the bears next time.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
