best dad in the world

Hello!  I hope everyone is enjoying some time off this weekend.  My boys are out of school for the summer and my daughter has a couple of exams coming up but other that we are going to relax this weekend.  I'm gonna make a couple of cards hopefully too. I wanted to share a couple of Father's Day cards I made a few days ago.  They both use the same sentiment that I printed onto the cardstock using a brushstroke font. This is the first card.  I used my Cameo to cut the globe out and I love how it looks.  I inked up the edges of the blue and green cardstock and like how doing something that simple adds some depth. Here's another view. This is the second card and is very different from the first one even though the sentiment is the same.  I used Altenew's Mini Atlas stamp set.  It really is a small stamp and I was kind of surprised how small it is!  Yes, I need to read the description more clearly.  Anyway, I heat embossed the image in gold and layered it too

Simply Made Hawaii is One! (so I'm having a SALE!!)

Hello!  Wow, I had a hard time logging into my blog!  Probably because I have too many email accounts and passwords and I can't remember them!  I am a bit busy today so I'll have to make this short but I wanted to let everyone know that my shop, Simply Made Hawaii on Etsy is a year old!  I can't believe it's been open for a whole year.  Probably I didn't work on my store for the first few months because it's kind of overwhelming!  To celebrate the first year, I am having a sale, 10% off all confetti/supplies and thin cut confetti.  If you're interested just click on my Etsy banner on the side bar. Also need to share a couple cards I made using Mama Elephant's Cub Cuddles and Bear Hugs.  I gotta say I love that little birdie.  He is so cute!  I love the bees too!  And the sentiments are so sweet. Here's another one I made using the same stamp sets.  These bear images are some of the sweetest! Okay, that's it for today.  Hope you'll c

thank you for a great year

Hello!  Trying to stay motivated!  I always feel like I'm a step behind.  Like a step behind creating cards for upcoming holidays.  I made Mother's Day cards and graduation cards.  Now I'm trying to make cards for teachers and Father's Day.  But I feel like I should've made them by now.  Maybe I'm a bit slow or I need to think ahead more. Today, I got around to listing my first teacher thank you card.  Mostly I am also thinking I need to make a few for my own kids' teachers!  My middle child will be moving on to middle school too so that is kind of sad for me.  And also because I will again be driving to 3 schools.  And they'll never be in the same school again. This is the card with no personalization.  I printed the sentiment onto the cardstock using this swirly brush font that I really love.  The apple is a diecut created from MFT's Red Delicious die.  I don't think they sell this die anymore. I stamped one of the teacher's nam
