crafting this and that

Just ignore that I haven't posted anything in a while.  Not gonna even dwell on it. Anyway, in case there are some people that still read my blog, Hello!  Thought I'd pop in and see what blogland is up to these days and quickly share something that I finished making a few weeks ago. I found this wonderful crochet pattern of Snorlax HERE .  Snorlax is a Pokemon in case you were in doubt or wondering.  It's probably one of the best patterns I've found of Snorlax so I had to try to make it since my boys love Pokemon. I made mine a little bit differently by using felt for the stomach instead of crocheting that.  I used 2 layers of felt because I could actually see through it a bit when I used one.  I placed the felt on his body and kind of guessed the size and shape and cut it out.  Then I sewed both layers of felt onto his body.  His teeth are also small pieces of felt that I had glued.   And his arms stick out forward a bit instead of d...

Hi!  I have another box card to share today.  This one also features one of the cute hedgehogs from Birdie Brown (MFT).  I love that his arms (legs) are stretched wide and the sentiment fits it well. Hi!  I finally made another box card!  I've come to realize that I only have a couple hours a day if I'm lucky to craft or work on my Etsy shop.  And sometimes I procrastinate so those 2 hours probably decrease down a lot!  So this box card features the cute hedgehogs from Birdie Brown at MFT.  The sentiment is a combination from Lawn Fawn and Mama Elephant.  While I think these box cards are cute and fun, sometimes it takes a bit of time to align correctly so that it will fold nicely.  The first 2 I made came out really easy but for some reason I think I wasn't liking these up nicely and so it would lay flat one way but not really the other. But I think I got it now.  In any case, I need to take the time to align the sides carefully.  My plan is to make 3 more of these box cards.  Haha, I always have plans but they don't always happen.  By the way, I restocked the snowflakes and maple leaves in my shop.  In case you ...

Hi all!  I made a bunch of graduation cards in different colors.  These took me a while to finish in between packing confetti!  I love to make all sorts of things but it's getting harder to find the time.  And sometimes I'm just too tired! I made these graduation cards before.  This image is from Sister Stamps.  Do you guys miss them?  They put out a lot of great images like this one.  I colored them up differently in black, blue, red and green.  Are those the most popular school colors?  Here is a slightly different design using the year instead of congrats. Hi everyone!  Just popping in quick to share some pretty stars I listed in the shop.  These are the regular, more chunky/thicker cut confetti/glitter.  Good for those shaker cards when you want a bit more weight to shake around.  But I like the thinner ones for shakers too just cause they are less bulky.  Sometimes I put the thinner cut confetti in those clear plastic bags and use those instead of using the dimensional tape all under the card.  So then my shaker cards end up kind of thin.  Maybe it's hard to visual and some day I'll share some photos.  So just real quick I now have blue, pink, purple, white and yellow in the 3mm size. And I also added this really nice gold hollow stars and stars mix.  I love these!  So happy at the quality of these. Okay, thanks for stopping by!

Hello!  So recently I sold a card that I made last year.  It was the little MFT flying pig with reach for the stars sentiment.  I loved that card!  And even though it took a bit of a while to sell, probably cause I listed during Christmas season instead of graduation season, I didn't mind since I loved looking at it.  When it did sell, I was kind of sad to see it go.  Hopefully the buyer enjoys it too. Today, I have another graduation card, two cards actually but they are variations of each other so basically almost the same. Hello again!  I had more time to make some cards the past couple days.  I made another box card like the one I shared a couple days ago. This card features the cute seals from Lawn Fawn's Sealed with a Kiss.  I got this set last year when I purchased $35 worth of product from Lawn Fawn.  I actually bought stuff just to get this stamp set!  It's so cute!  I love the seal kissing the other seal and the pun is so fun. Here's the box kind of folded flat.  The seals kind of peek through. Recently I bought WRMK's Precision Press when it was on sale at Scrapbook.com.  I used it to stamp the sentiment on this box card.  It was easy to use and I got to double stamp the sentiment to make it darker.  I've used it on other projects recently too and it's such a good choice if you're looking for something like that especially if you're on a budget.  It's such an economical choice!
