more baby cards!

Hello!  I am sharing more baby cards today.  I've been wanting to use more of my kraft cardstock so thought this would be a nice use of them. I used the baby sets from The Greeting Farm for the baby bodysuit and tie.  I cut around the bodysuit and the tie for a little extra dimension instead of just stamping the tie onto the bodysuit.  On a side note, did you know onesie is a trademarked term by Gerber?  Kind of like Kleenex for tissue. The sentiment was made using PTI's Congrats All Ways .  This is a pretty versatile stamp set and has lots of occasions and different fonts too.  As always, I took my Copic microliner to fill in the sentiments and make them a bit darker and bolder. Here is the girl version.  The bodysuit is a little bit more frilly.  And a close up of the card. I am working on a bunch more cards and hoping to fill up my shop.  If only there really was more time in a day. Thanks so much for stopping by!...

Welcome Baby!

Hello!  Do you ever feel totally unmotivated to create?  That was me last week.  I felt so blah every day and didn't really want to finish any of my cards or make any new ones.  I guess I go through these cycles of being unproductive.  But I did clean the house and vacuum the stairs!  So that was a real plus.  Now I'll be ignoring my house chores for a while. I made a couple of baby cards using Sister Stamps and a couple of sentiments from Stampin' Up!  I haven't used Stampin' Up! products in a while and was in the process of selling the sets I have.  This set didn't sell so I guess that was good since I was looking for a baby set. I created a mat look by taping off the edges and using distress inks to watercolor. Here is the girl version.  I also made a bunch of doctor related cards again. I made it easier on myself by printing some of the sentiments.  The images are from Altenew's Doctors Rule. I'...

Crocheted scarf

Hello!  Just finished up my second scarf for the year.  I followed the Triple Luxe Cowl pattern from All About Ami .  It's a fast project and I think I would have finished faster if I hadn't taken it apart like 3 times to make sure I was connecting my rounds correctly.  I got my yarn from Lion Brand Yarn on Monday night and finished it Wednesday night so that is a quick project for me.  I wish I had ordered more of the yarn.  It is so soft and poufy! Here it is folded up.  I love the stitches on here because it looks a bit knitted instead of crocheted.  I know, I should learn how to knit instead of trying to fake knit with crochet.  But crocheting seems a bit easier, doesn't it?  Have you seen the latest trend with yarn also?  They are coming out with some huge bulky yarn and even larger hooks and needles.  They look like tree branches!  I think it looks really neat to crochet or knit something with super bulky yarn b...

Happy Easter

Hello!  Wow, February is already moving along quickly!  I've already moved onto to Easter!  Actually, I wasn't sure if I was going to make any Easter cards but I was looking through my Sister Stamps collection and those little bunnies were just so cute so I had to make a couple. So here is Sister Stamps Masa.  I made a watercolor background again using my distress ink stamp pads.  But this time I taped off the sides to create a border.  I actually wanted to use my Gelatos but somehow that was coming out kind of messy.  So on my 3rd try, I went back to distress inks. The bunny is just the sweetest!  Here is Akemi.  Same process with this card as well.  I cut out the image and adhered it directly onto the watercolored background. A closer view. I also made a couple of grad cards using Sister Stamps Graduate.  This one in red. This one in blue and yellow. If you haven't checked recently, I also added a bunch o...

all occasion cards

Hello!  Happy February!  Totally fighting the urge to go back to bed.  Think I had too much coffee and soda yesterday to fall asleep at my usual time.  So I was in bed staring at my phone!  Haha.  Morning came fast today! I made these cards over the weekend intending them to be thank you cards.  I was planning to add the arigato sentiment over the tree branches but somehow it didn't look quite right so I kept it off.  My preference is always to keep things simple.  I like how these turned out in the end. So now because they don't have a sentiment, it can be used for any occasion really.  The main image is Sister Stamps Minako.  I like that she is so peaceful looking.  I thought the Mama Elephant branches and cherry blossom stamps would be a good match on this card. I also finished up my first cowl using the puff stitch.  I followed the tutorial from All About Ami's blog.  I just used a different yarn ...
