panda and polar bear calendars

Hi!  Back today to share another batch of 2018 calendars.  I used Mama Elephant's Bear Favor Bag Accessory dies for these calendars.

Here is my polar bear which is pretty simple to make.  Just using some white cardstock for his head and part of his body.  It is hard to image what the tiny dies could be used for so I end up cutting up a bunch of scratch paper and just moving things around until it looks cute!  These calendars also have a magnet on the back to stick to your fridge or anything else that is magnetic.  They are pretty lightweight and thin.

Here is my panda bear.  I didn't know if I wanted to add those cheeks in or not.  My kids thought it was cute without them.  But I like rosy cheeks!

Here is my last one which is a variation on the panda and I call him fancy panda because of his mustache and hat.  I like him cause he makes me laugh.

I am very unfocused.  Too many projects to finish.  I like to imagine that there is a finish line to all this crafting but there really isn't.  I will never cross off everything on my crafty to do list.  It really is never ending.  There is always something new to create and to be inspired by.  So maybe I'll always be unfocused.

So in line with being unfocused, I will be sharing something new the next time I blog, hopefully.  I've already put a little glimpse of it on my Simply Made Hawaii facebook page.  If you're curious, come like my page.  I might do a little giveaway (sorry, for US residents only).

Thanks so much for reading!

Gee, that die set looks adorable and suitable for lots of projects. I'm glad you made such wonderful calendars and brought the die to my attention. Thanks!

no BUTTS about it

Hello!  Today I have a series of cards to share which I think are super cute and funny too.  I love Birdie Brown's stamp sets available at MFT and the cards today uses the behind images of the cat, dog & pig found in Cool Cat, Lucky Dog and Hog Heaven.

I had a couple of ideas for the design of this card but I felt the sentiment called for multiple images of the animal's behind.  I just couldn't let there be one image and the sentiment have plural Butts.  I know that is weird of me but things like that drive me a little crazy.  I won't get into how people misuse plural and possessive s though.  That really drives me crazy.  Anyway, so then I thought this would be a cute way to stamp multiple images over the card.  I created the sentiment on the front using an alphabet set from Lawn Fawn.

This is the sentiment on the inside which comes in the Cool Cat stamp set.

Here is the dog version.  These cards took a lot of time to color!

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

Hi!  It's been a while since I participated in one of PTI's blog hop challenges.  But I had to play along this month.  Not only did I place an order on release night but I also got my goodies in about a week!  So I had some time to play around with my new stamps and dies.  Hehe.  Below is the inspiration photo.

I love the Christmas theme and the colors too so I went with that.

When I saw the newly released penguin stamp and die, I had to get them.  So cute!!  I thought this penguin would make a cute spinner card too.  Similar to the froggy one I made HERE.  I also used PTI's In the Meadow dies.  I used the die itself and my hobby blade to cut along the curved edge to create the little cut out for the penguin to slide.  I did that twice leaving a quarter inch space between them.

I layered the penguin with PTI's coasters.

I added a tiny bell to his hat.

He slides down.  The jingle all the way sentiment is from Tiny Treats Xmas.  Just traced the space with a pencil and curv…
