TGF Heart Journaling--week 20

Hi! It's week 20 now of TGF's Heart Journaling. The assignment is to create a page based on a dream, goal or wish. I created a page based on my son's dream of a white Christmas. He has been telling me a lot lately that he wants to see snow and build a snowman so hopefully one year we will go on vacation to do just that. Though I don't know if I would really enjoy the freezing weather. We're too spoiled here with nice weather all year long.

I used PTI's tree die and cut some fun foam with it. I used the fun foam tree like a stamp and stamped a bunch of trees together. I really like how the trees turned out. I added some flower soft for the snow on the trees and added some stickles too. The rest are stickers from Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas set. I think this scene fits perfectly with what my son would like to see one day.

Wow, I can't believe I've been keeping up with this journal! It seems the days are going by super fast. I can't keep up with all the activities! It doesn't help too that I can't seem to stay awake past 11 anymore. I just need to sleep.

Those trees turned out beautifully! The flower soft looks neat too. Good job keeping up, especially this time of year.

Yup, need to take my son to see snow one day, too! Love your journal entry! How creative to die cut sponge and stamp the trees - turned out beautifully!

Wowwowow! Love your scene especially the trees and snow! Very creative! I'm sad that my kiddies may not see snow this Holiday season either!

PS. You can always go on vacay where it's not super cold but still see and play with snow. We've been going to the Lake Tahoe area, border of CA and Nevada. They have ski lodges too!

TGF 3rd Annual Customer Blog Hop

Hi! After finishing up these 2 projects for TGF's Blog Hop , I've come to realize that I am kind of addicted to stamps, especially TGF stamps. Hehe. Okay, I will not babble on too much since there are lots of other blogs to check out as well. I made something for both categories, Holiday and General. First up is my Holiday card. I recently acquired Hippie Anya! She inspired me to make a "peace" card for the holidays. But then I had to add Fleur Anya for "love" ... and 80s Anya for "joy." So great that these stamps could be turned into something Christmas-y. My General project has been swimming in my mind ever since I made that counting book a while back with TGF stamps as well. upcycling Pokemon wrappers

Hello everyone! I am back with my latest sewing creations. I have been playing around with plastic wrappers! I've seen those upcycled plastic wrap bags and purses (usually made from Capri Sun package juice) but never really paid attention to them or how they were made until I saw this tutorial using the wrappers from Pokemon cards. My boys love Pokemon cards and were just throwing the wrappers away but I started saving them and collected enough from their recent birthdays to make a couple of items. Here is a little coin pouch (didn't want to call it a purse since it's for my youngest boy and he'd probably not like that). This little pouch was made with 4 wrappers, 2 in front and 2 in back. It is a bit tough to turn right side out because the wrappers and contact paper get stiff. But it's possible and looks really neat! I made it so he could hang it from the inside of his backpack and also carry around a little bit of emergency...
