I made some New Year's money gift holders. I saw this idea of using MFT's vertical gift card holder onto some layered tags and thought it was so fun. Problem -- no layering tag dies. So I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make the tags around the gift card holder. I think it was 3/8th inch around the 3 sides and then 1 inch on the top. Then just cut the top corners. Then I added another thin layer around that tag.

I made this one with Hideo first. Not very Asian-y colors or papers.

Here's a close up. Love his mochi on a stick. Our kids love mochi! Totally in the mood for some now.

After making Hideo, I wanted a girl version so I used Mieko too. This one is more Asian with washi paper.

Snowman gift card holder

Hi! I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences. It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts. I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one. It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch. The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card. I added this fun card that I stamped. You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks. I hope I can make more of these little guys. Hello! Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy. I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with. I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles . You can find the pattern HERE . Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute. But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.
