Sister Stamps Release #22 -- Wedding

Hello!  Back again today to share more from Sister Stamps Release #22!  The last stamp in this release is called Wedding and it features a couple wearing traditional Japanese wedding attire.  So pretty and cute and so fast to color up cause mostly I left the bride's kimono white.  I don't know, do they do other colors?

Here is my card featuring this cute couple.  I used some washi paper with cranes and tore it in a diagonal.  I also used this pretty Asian looking embossing folder for the other half in white.  Then I finally was able to purchase the heart banner die from La-La Land Crafts and added that too.  Love that die.  A simple wedding card.

Here's a close up of the happy couple.

And I also made another box with La-La Land's trinket box.  Yeah, I know, I've been making a lot of these boxes which is why I made a card too.  Didn't want to bore you with another box!  I used the same elements on this box too.

The inside of the box.  I love how the cranes look.

Okay, you know you should check out the rest of the DT and the guest too.

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

August 2012

Hi!  We had a short black out this morning and I didn't know what to do without my computer and internet, and I couldn't go blog surfing.  I was sad but I did cut everything out for my kids' Halloween goody bags.  Good thing my Big Shot isn't electric.

Anyway, I made another page to my 2012 calendar/scrapbook using MFT's sketch #39 and Pure Innocence Year of Flowers series Poppy.

Here's my page.  Somehow I'm not loving this one too much.  I love the image but somehow the colors remind me of fall too much and not too summery.  And I think the proportions are a bit off.  But I decided to just stick with it.  It's still cute.

Here's a picture of both pages.

I'm gonna have to wait til I order the next couple months to continue.  But I'm happy I've made it this far!

The kiddies are home for fall break.  It's nice but messy and noisy.  It may be a long week.

Thanks for reading!

no BUTTS about it

Hello!  Today I have a series of cards to share which I think are super cute and funny too.  I love Birdie Brown's stamp sets available at MFT and the cards today uses the behind images of the cat, dog & pig found in Cool Cat, Lucky Dog and Hog Heaven.

I had a couple of ideas for the design of this card but I felt the sentiment called for multiple images of the animal's behind.  I just couldn't let there be one image and the sentiment have plural Butts.  I know that is weird of me but things like that drive me a little crazy.  I won't get into how people misuse plural and possessive s though.  That really drives me crazy.  Anyway, so then I thought this would be a cute way to stamp multiple images over the card.  I created the sentiment on the front using an alphabet set from Lawn Fawn.

This is the sentiment on the inside which comes in the Cool Cat stamp set.

Here is the dog version.  These cards took a lot of time to color!
