happy halloween

Hello people!  Oh, I've finally made some stuff to share and I'm happy because I'm actually done with some Halloween projects ahead of time.  I even have all the little baggies done for my youngest one's class treats which are just glow sticks but I feel like I've done a lot of prep.  Today I'm just sharing 2 treat bags I made for my daughter to give to her friends.

These were made with Lawn Fawn's Goodie Bag die.  I love the cute little decorative edge on top and the handle which I've blocked with the tag.  I added the little clothes pin on top for now until I can fill them in and tie the tags on.  I'm thinking about just adding a gift card instead of candy.

The tags, bat and sentiment are all from Lawn Fawn.  Lately I can't seem to get enough Lawn Fawn.  They make some cute stuff!

Hopefully I'll be back with something else to share soon!  Thanks for stopping by!

no BUTTS about it

Hello!  Today I have a series of cards to share which I think are super cute and funny too.  I love Birdie Brown's stamp sets available at MFT and the cards today uses the behind images of the cat, dog & pig found in Cool Cat, Lucky Dog and Hog Heaven.

I had a couple of ideas for the design of this card but I felt the sentiment called for multiple images of the animal's behind.  I just couldn't let there be one image and the sentiment have plural Butts.  I know that is weird of me but things like that drive me a little crazy.  I won't get into how people misuse plural and possessive s though.  That really drives me crazy.  Anyway, so then I thought this would be a cute way to stamp multiple images over the card.  I created the sentiment on the front using an alphabet set from Lawn Fawn.

This is the sentiment on the inside which comes in the Cool Cat stamp set.

Here is the dog version.  These cards took a lot of time to color!

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

Papertrey November Blog Hop Challenge

Hi!  It's been a while since I participated in one of PTI's blog hop challenges.  But I had to play along this month.  Not only did I place an order on release night but I also got my goodies in about a week!  So I had some time to play around with my new stamps and dies.  Hehe.  Below is the inspiration photo.

I love the Christmas theme and the colors too so I went with that.

When I saw the newly released penguin stamp and die, I had to get them.  So cute!!  I thought this penguin would make a cute spinner card too.  Similar to the froggy one I made HERE.  I also used PTI's In the Meadow dies.  I used the die itself and my hobby blade to cut along the curved edge to create the little cut out for the penguin to slide.  I did that twice leaving a quarter inch space between them.

I layered the penguin with PTI's coasters.

I added a tiny bell to his hat.

He slides down.  The jingle all the way sentiment is from Tiny Treats Xmas.  Just traced the space with a pencil and curv…
