Craft Fair #2 review and lots of rambling

Hello!  If you've been keeping up with my blog or fb page (personal or business), you know I was at another craft fair, the Moanalua 99 Craft Fair this past Sunday.  It was actually the first time we had been there since 99 Ranch Market closed up so didn't know what it would be like at all.  We like to stalk or check out the fairs before hand and then sign up but this one didn't work out like that.  I was kind of lost even though I had a map!  But the regular vendors were all so nice and they tried to help us find our spot.  Funny that they didn't know what space number they were but just that they always set up in that particular space.  Eventually we found our 5x6 foot space, at least we think that was the right space. One of the highlights of this fair was meeting Jayne, from Handmade Cuties blog and she has a cute Etsy store called Bead Crumbs too.  You should check it out.  She makes the tiniest and cutest beaded creations.  I h...

penguin tags and craft fair reminder

Hello!  Yesterday I finished making up 30 penguin tags for the upcoming craft fair I'll be at.  Seems like there is never enough time to make everything you want to make, right?  I guess it's partly because I want to make everything!  I am trying to cut back on that!  I still have lots to pack up and inventory.  I think that might be my least favorite part of this whole venture.  All the paper work and keeping track of everything makes my brain hurt.  But I want to start so I am not rushing at the last minute. These cute penguins are from Mama Elephant.  But the speech bubble, to and heart is from Lawn Fawn.  I did some masking to place the penguin's Santa hat and then to place him onto the floating iceberg. Here is another penguin.  He looks a bit wobbly. Then the last penguin who is on his behind.  These are so cute to add to gifts.  I'll be packing them in sets of 5 for the fair. The Moanalua 99 ...

burlap joy bags & my next craft fair!

Hello!  Wow, I think I need to nap from the 3 day weekend we had.  Either that or drink some coffee which I think I need to start up again just so I can have some energy in the mornings.  I had some coffee over the weekend and I felt like crafting all day!  I purchased these cute drawstring burlap bags and added the fabric joy sentiments onto them.  I made something similar to these before on smaller muslin bags.  These burlap bags seem much more practical since they are larger and can even hold a gift card, perfect for the upcoming holidays. I also made small kraft tags with red twine to go along with these bags.  You'll have to practice some small handwriting as these tags are small but this size seems more proportional to the larger burlap bags. Here's a giftcard hanging from the top of the bag.  I'll be posting these photos onto its Etsy listing which is why I have that disclaimer up there.  Can't be too careful these days as ...
