Farm Fresh Friday: White Out!

Hi all!  Time for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday !  Melissa has challenged us to go WHITE though your image can be colored if you wish.  I chose to color Blush Bettie black and white.  It was during my short lived B&W phase!  Haha.  I used my new (back then) Cheery Lynn die.  Isn't it pretty?  I love the delicate doily look.  I layered that on top of my square card base.  I layered Blush Bettie on another square cardstock too and added the sentiment that comes with this stamp.  Then simple pearls in the corners and in her hair.     Please check out the TGF blog for more challenge details and to see the rest of the Showcase DT's amazing cards.  But I'm sure you're checking in regularly to see all the awesome new September releases, right?  Aren't they super cute?! Thanks for reading!

Thank you

Hi!  Happy Saturday!  I checked out the only authorized Copic distributor here on this island today.  Bummers cause I only found one of the refills I was looking for.  I needed one other refill but they didn't have it in stock.  Now isn't that why we shop online?  Not too helpful either when they don't have a specific time it will come into stock.  Oh, sometime in September.  Geez.  So if you are the only distributor on this whole entire island and we can't order from anywhere else online, shouldn't you try to keep most things in stock?  Just a suggestion.  I should get on with my card before I say something really snipe-y and sarcastic that I'll regret much later.  Oh, but I got a cute Halloween Doodlebug paper pad that I'm excited to use from one of my favorite stores, J's Knicknacks .  So that made me happy. There is a new sketch by Shaela for TGF on Splitcoaststampers.  Check it out HERE . My card uses TGF...

Paper piece your FFF!

Hello!  It is paper piecing time at The Greeting Farm's FFF this week!  I used to love paper piecing.  But then I started to like coloring more!  Hehe.  But paper piecing definitely adds lots of interest to cards and I like that it's an easy way to have everything all matchy matchy. I used the very cute Oliver from the Lovey Dovey set on this simple card.  I really like these simple layouts.  Not only are they quick but the images stand out so nicely!  So Oliver's clothes and hat were paper pieced.  I just colored in his face, hair, shoes and the red heart.  The large red die cut is a Cheery Lynn die.  The sentiment comes with this set and the 3 hearts in a row is from TGF's clear Girl Build a Onesie set. A little close up of the little guy! Hope you'll have a chance to join in this week!  Check TGF's blog for more inspiration and to link up your creations! Thanks for reading!

Post-it Easel Card Tutorial

Hi!  Someone had suggested a tutorial for the post-it easel cards I have been making in a couple of my past posts.  So here it is!  These easel cards feature the adorable, lovable TGF Beans!! Let's get started cause there are a lot of photos! I made a couple of them!  I know, they are bright!  But I love them bright and cheery!  Glisten Bean is on the left in purple and Shiny Bean is on the right in pink. Supplies: 11 x 5.25 inch cardstock 5.25 x 5.25 inch cardstock (front of your easel card that you can decorate) 4 x 4 inch cardstock (box for Post-it pad) 3 x 3 inch Post-it note pad your favorite stamp pens, velcro (optional) Score your long cardstock at 5.25 inches, 5.75 inches and 8.25 inches. After you fold them at the score lines, it should look like this.  Place on the side. Next, get your 4 x 4 inch piece and score a half inch on all sides.  Then punch a little semi circle on one of the sides. Fold, then cu...

Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Hi!  It is Miss Christine's birthday and we decided to have a party!  We are doing a blog hop just for her.  If you came here from wonderful Christa's blog , you are in the right place.  If you didn't, you may want to start at the All That Scraps blog .  You don't want to miss any bit of this party! Happy Birthday, Christine!!    Thank you for your generosity and thoughtfulness and of course, for creating amazingly sweet and cute stamps and dies! This is the card I created just for Christine.  It's the first time I've ever used this stamp but I thought Wild Rose Studio's Bella with Flowers was perfect for a birthday card.  Bella is colored with Copics and some light chalk on her cheeks and a bit of blue in the background which is difficult to see.  I matted the squares using my Perfect Layers rulers .  I used white tissue paper cut with Magnolia's Tilda lace die and layered that behind the squares. The flowers and grass...

oh hello, again

Hi!  I think I've used that post title before because I've used that sentiment a couple times already.  Can't think of an original title at the moment though.  So, I am back with another post.  There is a new TGF sketch challenge created by Aeryn this week over at SCS.  Click HERE for all the details and to join in. This is TGF's gorgeous Blush Bettie.  I paper pieced her dressed and colored the rest of her with my Copics.  All papers are from Basic Grey's Konnichiwa.  It's a miracle that I remember what the papers are called.  Most of the time I just draw a blank.  And all my matting was done with my Perfect Layers Rulers .  They were great to use with all the boxes and layers in this sketch. Okay, I've got some projects to finish up and need to clean my crafty desk.  What a mess! Thanks for reading!!

Oh the Places You'll Go!

Hi everyone!!  It was a holiday today for us here.  My kids slept over their aunty's house last night and so today me and hubby had a nice, quiet dim sum lunch!!  So peaceful!  I actually got to taste the food!  And it was so yummy! Anyway, TGF had a fun chit chat over on SCS tonight!  Lots of chit chatting and there are challenges and prizes!!  Click HERE to see all the challenge details! I made one card for the Olympics inspired challenge.  There are 2 other categories too so lots of ways to get inspired and start creating. I used Do Si Do Anya!  See her gold medal?  She won gold for cuteness.  Hehe.  I made the medal out of gold origami paper left over from the time I got married many years ago.  The banner is heat embossed and from TGF's Bannerific set.  I used PTI's alphabet dies and felt for usa.  There is some bling here and there too. Hope you'll join in on the challenges!! Okay, short post t...

A Birthday Farm Fresh Friday

Hi!  Jas is hosting TGF's Farm Fresh Friday this week and it's a perfectly fitting birthday theme since TGF just celebrated their 4th year!  And were you lucky enough to purchase their limited release BIG Anyas?  In case you missed out, I have heard they may return so keep an eye and ear out for them. I couldn't resist using Anya Celebrates for this week's Farm Fresh Friday.  I love her sweet face!  The sentiment is also included with this set.  And these are BIG so I actually used my very large acrylic block which I hardly ever use. Hope you have a chance to join in on the fun this week!  Check out the TGF blog for more cute stuff from the Showcase DT and all the challenge details! Thanks for reading!

Anya Treats!!

Hi everyone!!  It has been a while since I played at Anyone for Anya!  Their new challenge is a photo inspiration.  Check it out HERE !  I love the photo of the rainbow colored cake!  So pretty!  So I had to use my new Anya Treats for this challenge. I tried to use the colors of the cake as my inspiration and colored Anya similarly.  I think half way I didn't know if i wanted it to be a bright rainbow or more pastel-y rainbow.  But I guess pastel-y won. If the card looks familiar, it was in TGF's August newsletter.  Are you signed up for TGF's newsletter?  If not, go and sign up !  There's even a coupon!  And also check out TGF's forum on Splitcoaststampers and join in cause there will be prizes!! Thanks for reading!!

Chit chat with The Greeting Farm!!

Hi everyone!!  Hope you all had a nice weekend!  We spent the day at the beach yesterday.  Our kids love the beach but me, I'm not much of a beach person.  So I sat there with a towel over my head and legs.  The sun and sand were sooooo hot!!  Anyway, I have no eye candy to share today.  Just wanted to announce that today starts a new week of FUN at the TGF member forum at Splitcoaststampers!! Be on the lookout for THREE new weekly topics, lots of pop-ins from the DT, and a chance to win a free digi every week! We can't wait to chat with you! Click HERE to chat! Thanks for the visit!

Hello Dreamer

Hello!  Happy weekend!  I can't believe how fast August is flying by!  I feel a little crunched for time trying to squeeze every little bit in.  I think I made a record number of cards these past couple of months.  I still have a ton to share! Today is sketch #26 for TGF over on SplitcoastStampers .  Kelli made up the sketch this week and I loved it!    I love the Beans so much!  Totally adorable!  I used Glisten Bean and colored her up with Copics.  My banners were made with PTI's banner die. I love these Echo Park papers!  I am actually using my paper pads!  Totally not hoarding these days.  And I'm almost out of PTI's white cardstock that I usually use to color on when I make my simple one layer cards.  I was going to order more since I have some points leftover but the value is so not worth it when the shipping cost is more than the product itself!  I so don't like that!  And if I adde...

Back to School with TGF's FFF

Hello!!  I'm hosting The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday this week!!  I think I'm getting the hang of this -- can I do this, um, forever??  Haha!  Since tons of kiddies have gone back or are going back to school, I went with a Back to School theme. I chose Do Si Do Anya!  She looks all ready for her first day of school!  Though by the end of the school day, her hair might be all wasted.  My daughter used to go to school with cute hair in the morning and come home a mess!  I finally got to used my school embellishments like the mini ruler and chalk cardstock.  I was gonna write a little more but my kids only had the super fat chalk and that was hard to write with so all I could scribble legibly was A+.    Oh, surprise!  It's an easel card to hold a post it pad.  Okay, that little pencil looks cute but it's totally only decorative.  Next time, I will use velcro.  It's pretty stuck on with tape....
