Mean Moms

Hi!  I don't have anything crafty to share today.  I just wanted to vent about Mean Moms.  Do you know any?  Have you seen that movie Mean Girls with Lindsey Lohan?  Mean Moms are just like those mean high school girls but apparently have not moved beyond high school and are still "mean."  I don't think I have encountered many Mean Moms since becoming a mom myself.  But recently I've met a small group of ladies and I think they are Mean Moms.  Well, at least to me they are.  It's not even by choice that I had to meet these moms but more because the circumstances mandated it.  I won't say where I met these ladies or why I need to interact with them but I know that the way they are behaving is in an effort to exclude me.  Well, fine right?  Don't want to be part of a group that doesn't want me anyway, right?  Except I have to communicate with them.  When it first started I thought it was me making a big deal out of nothing.  But little things here and there started to add up.

Anyway, I hate writing about unhappy stuff on my crafty blog where only cute things should live but I'm irritated and thought a little venting would help me put it behind me.  If only everyone was as nice and welcoming as crafters.

Thanks for reading!

Unfortunately there are always going to be mean people out there and I'm so sorry you have to deal with these nasty people. I know it's hard but try not to let them spoil your day. Just remember that your crafting friends love you :)

I'm sorry!

I ran into a group of mean moms when I tried to join my kiddo's elementary PTO and can relate. Sadly, they will never know that they are the ones who are missing out on your friendship, and the extent of your knowledge and contributions.

((HUGS))

Such a bummer...some things never change...even when you grow up!
I do believe all things happen for a reason and that there's always something to learn from every situation (be it good or bad). Hopefully its not a long term relationship. Hugs to you and know that if they cannot accept you then they're the losers!
So sad to hear about your encounter with the Mean Moms. Why can't everyone just be nice to each other yah? It would make this world a much nicer place. Just know that you are a wonderful person. Hugs to you Eva.

Ugh, hopefully you won't have to interact with them for too long and can keep contact to a minimum.

I hate people who are stuck in high school and mean! Hope you won't have to deal with them for long. Keep your head high and know that you're the bigger person. And vent away whenever you need to. (((Hugs))).

Totally know what you're talking about!!! Some people just never grow out of the whole "clique" thing. Sometimes when I am in those situations I like to "kill them with kindness"!! lol! Don't let them get to you.

I just had to comment because my daughter called me the other day after she finished work and said, "I hate mothers", except you Mom!

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

coffee cup shaped cards

Hi!  I think after this post I may need a little nap!  My right shoulder is actually feeling worn out from all the typing and photo editing I've been doing lately.  And this cooler weather is making me drowsy.  It's getting cold here already! I made a bunch of these coffee shaped cards using a die from Honey Bee Stamps .  It's a cute coffee set but the die is extra long so it would probably help to have a longer platform to diecut.  I just have the standard sized one so I would pass it through once in my Big Shot and then rotate the cardstock and die carefully to cut the other end.  Manageable but the longer platform would be more convenient! I embossed the front of the card with some pretty snowflakes.  I think this is a Sizzix embossing folder.  And then stamped the coffee sleeve with some Lawn Fawn stamps. This is the inside.  The gift card slot does not come with this coffee cup die set.  I cut that opening with one ...

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE .  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny .  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card. If you've read the story...
