nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute.

This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles.  You can find the pattern HERE.  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.

Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one heart directly onto the robot but it was hard to sew and looked messy so I redid it another way to make it look neater.

This is the punny tag I stamped for him.  The letter stamps are from Lawn Fawn.

I took a group photo of the amigurumi I made recently.  They're a cute bunch!

February seemed to be a big month for sales!  I ended up buying a few new stamps and dies.  I added Mama Elephant's Bunny Agenda to my collection.  The bunnies are just too adorable!

Thanks for stopping by!

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

lots and lots of tags!

Hi!  I've been making a lot of tags lately trying to get ready for Christmas and I am finally done.

These were made with Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.  I love this set.  It is so cute and funny!

Here is the back of the tags.  I think these would be so fun to put on gifts for children.  They would think the tags are so funny!

Here are the polar bear tags.  I love this polar bear.  His expression is so cute!

This is the back of the polar bears.

I also made more of the tags I had made last year.  So these are all listed in my shop now.  I tried to make a lot at one time because I'm not sure if I'll be making more of these designs this year.  I want to make some newer ones with some of my dies that I have not used yet!  Trying so hard to not buy more than I can use.  Although sometimes that is so difficult!  I was really good in September and did not buy any new Mama Elephant or the cute Bitty Bears from Birdie Brown.  I had such restraint but who knows how long that will last t…

August 2012

Hi!  We had a short black out this morning and I didn't know what to do without my computer and internet, and I couldn't go blog surfing.  I was sad but I did cut everything out for my kids' Halloween goody bags.  Good thing my Big Shot isn't electric.

Anyway, I made another page to my 2012 calendar/scrapbook using MFT's sketch #39 and Pure Innocence Year of Flowers series Poppy.

Here's my page.  Somehow I'm not loving this one too much.  I love the image but somehow the colors remind me of fall too much and not too summery.  And I think the proportions are a bit off.  But I decided to just stick with it.  It's still cute.

Here's a picture of both pages.

I'm gonna have to wait til I order the next couple months to continue.  But I'm happy I've made it this far!

The kiddies are home for fall break.  It's nice but messy and noisy.  It may be a long week.

Thanks for reading!
