Christmas Penguins or Elephants?

Hello!  In an effort to gear up for the holidays, I started making some Christmas cards.  Now that I have reduced my stamp stash, I have more time to use the stamps I've neglected for so long.  I held onto some Wild Rose Studio stamps cause they are just too cute and I felt I never gave them the attention they needed. Here are some Christmas elephants.  I stamped them on to watercolor cardstock and colored in the image with Copics.  I used distress inks to water color in the background.  Then of course I realized I didn't have to stamp the one on the left onto watercolor cardstock since I didn't do anything with the background, just kept it really simple.  Coloring on water colorcardstock with Copics not as smooth looking as the X-press It cardstock.  But overall I like how these turned out.  I also stamped some stars and heat embossed them in white.  There's some glittery-ness to the stars but difficult to see on here. And here ...

Halloween shaker tags

Hello!  Well, it is still very humid these days with lots of rain in between.  Hope the winds come back soon so I can craft more.  It's hard to sew in hot weather!  Here is my first set of shaker tags.  I used the tag dies from MFT and the sentiment and bat are from PTI.  I added some micro beads and sequins from Doodlebug. Here is a set of spiders, also from PTI.  I thought these would look more fun with those wiggly eyes. This is the back of the tags.  I think these would look cute to dress up some special goody bags.  The green ribbon is looped so you could easily tie them on to any treat bags. I just got in these cute silver star sequins.  They are tiny too.  I'll be listing it in my Etsy shop on September 1st.  I think I will try to schedule any new listings for the first of the month just to keep myself from getting overwhelmed. Thanks for stopping by!

fabric wine bottle bags

Hello!  Wow, it is a hot day today!  It's actually been very hot every day the past few weeks and I can't wait til it starts to cool down.  It's hard to craft or sew or do anything in this weather. Anyway, today I'm sharing my fabric wine bottle bags.  I looked at a few tutorials online to see about sizing.  A lot of choices come up in a simple Google search.  So these bags will fit a standard 750 ml size bottle.  Not those huge Costco size ones. Here is my first pair.  The fabric for all these bags are from Penny Rose Little Joys.  They have that vintage look.  But they also remind me of Japanese fabric prints.  So cute.  I paired them with Avery Elle's Cheers stamp set and used just a couple of sentiments on the kraft tags.  I got a great deal, I think, on this stamp set since it was on sale and shipping was only a couple of dollars or so from Scrapbook.com.  I'm surprised at how some places will charge more...

quilted potholders & FREE shipping for sale items!

Hello!  Finally sharing some of the potholders I've been making.  I sold all the Christmas potholders at the last craft fair.  I had used Penny Rose Little Joys fabric line and a couple of nice ladies fell in love with the vintage look of them.  I love the Little Joys print too so I'm gonna make a few more but then that's the end of my Little Joys stash.  Here is my stack of potholders.  I used Penny Rose Milk, Sugar & Flower line for these.  I love the prints on these too.  They are so pretty. I'm not gonna share each print cause that would just take too long but this one is one of my favorite prints.  I love that they look like mini quilted blankets.  I hand sewed the binding on each potholder.  I just like the look of that more than seeing the stitches all around the binding when you use a sewing machine.  They each have a little handle also in case you wanna hang them up.  I think these birdies are swe...

more sequins!

Hello!  So sorry, I am not very good with blogging these days.  I spent about 2 weeks sewing 8 tote bags in 3 different sizes.  Two more tote bags to go.  I also sewed up 6 pot holders and 4 fabric wine bags.  Lots to share but not today.  Ha, I'm not ready yet.  The only thing I can share today is the sequins I just got and sorted.  Yes, I sort the sequins!  It's pretty time consuming and also gives me a sore back and shoulder.  But I don't want to pack up those tiny broken bits that are floating in the package and I try to pick out the deformed ones. These are super tiny 3 mm flower shaped sequins.  Or confetti or glitter or whatever you'd like to call them.  They are so cute. I just listed them in my etsy store. Oh, did I blog about this one?  I love these too.  They are super tiny about 1 mm.  They are tiny little beads you can also mix into your shaker cards with sequins.  Or use them in r...

kawaii supplies -- sequins!

Hello!  Just wanted to share that my Etsy store is open again.  There are less cards available so I'll have to make more.  But I did add in another section called kawaii supplies and my first additions are tiny little sequins. These are 5 mm snowflake sequins.  They are very sparkly, tiny and so cute.  I can imagine lots of Christmas themed shaker cards with these.  I am still experimenting with taking photos of sequins.  So hard to get just the right lighting and then not to make them overblown during the photo editing. These are about 3-4 mm stars and hollow stars.  These are very cute too. Here is a pink version of the stars and hollow stars mix.  Again, these are tiny. And the last set I added are pink hearts and hollow hearts.  They are also about 3-4 mm.  If you're interested in these just click on my Etsy store found on the side bar. I'm hoping to add more supplies into my store and still also make handmade ...
