Princess Chloe Gift Card Holder

Do you own so many stamps, you forget what you have and when you remember you have it, you can't find it?  That's what happened to cute Puddle Jumpers Princess Chloe from Claudia & Co. which I bought over at DCRU.  Before I could really dive into all the Xmas crafts I had to make a little giftcard holder for a little girl's birthday and she's going to be celebrating it at Disneyland!  So I bought her a Disney Princess giftcard.

But it's the kind of GC that has that extra card on the top and I didn't want to just break it off cause on the back it has the To and From and Message info.  Plus it's so cute whole.  Anyway, I decided to alter the GC holder Cheryl posted about HERE.   The tutorial was from Dandelion Designs.  Because the GC is so long I used 3 pieces.  The first is piece of cardstock 4.5 x 12 inches.  Then score it in the middle at 6 inches.

The second piece was 5 x 4.25 inches and scored at a 1/4 inch on 3 sides.  Then I cut the little corners like above.

The 3rd piece was 3.75 x 9 inches and scored at 5 inches from the left.  This is where the GC would be attached.

I used tape on the back of the 3rd piece but just the top rectangle.

Taped all pieces together as shown above.  The GC is taped just below the score line.

So the GC slides in and out too.  I plan to write a little message on the bottom as well.

I like that this looks just like a regular card too from the front but opens to reveal the GC, unlike the Halloween Slider Cards I made HERE.

I forgot to finish my story from above.  I was trying to think if I had a little princess stamp to match the Disney Princess GC.  And for a while I was wondering if I had TGF's Princess Anya but I don't!  Then I realized I bought Princess Chloe but had to search in my stash for her.  I think Princess Chloe is so cute and perfect for this card.  I also need a bigger box for my stamps.  I'm running out of space.

Thanks for reading and have a great Monday!

What a cute princess! You don't have Princess Anya, what a shocker! Just kidding. At least you remember what you have, I have to dig around looking at all my stamps again.

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...
