Hi! Yes, I have survived another school year and I'm relieved and sad and happy and tired and so many other emotions too. Mostly though, I am ready for the summer to just hang out with the kiddies. It's gonna be busy with summer school, swimming and tennis and birthdays for the boys.
I don't know why I waited til almost the last minute to put together some teacher gifts. Never again! While I was at Ben Franklin I saw these frames that I've seen Jenny alter on her blog. And they were reasonably priced. I was really surprised when I went to the register to pay that they were on sale for $3! So I actually went back to buy more! The washi paper I used cost more than the frame! I altered 5 frames for my kiddies' Japanese language teachers.
Sorry, the angle may be kind of awkward in these photos. Trying to avoid the glare. I liked this green washi paper but it wasn't really a hit with my kids. I finally got my own Sister Stamps Yoshimi. The sentiments are from PTI.
A pair of orange ones which the kids weren't too fond of either. I don't know, they only seem to like pink or red or something. But I liked this orange one too.
My daughter's favorite one cause it's pink. I actually painted the edges of the frames with white acrylic paint. I placed the frame on the edge of the washi paper and used my blade to cut the paper. It cut nice and straight. I glued the washi paper to the frame and added more glue to the edge of the paper so nothing would flap around. These didn't take me too long to make. Maybe just a day. I'll share later what took me forever to make!
Thanks so much for reading!

It's my little one's last day, and I won't be surprised if I see tears later, she loves her friends and teachers. My oldest still has a few days next week. She will be "gradutating" to high school! Yikes! She's very "14", so this summer should be interesting....
Great job girlie!
BF got sale on Monday, LOL!.
Enjoy your weekend!
I bet the teachers will be so happy to receive these. Great job!
Happy Friday!
;)
