Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts Challenge #9

Hello!  We have a new challenge over at Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts using a pretty photo for inspiration.  You can use whatever inspires you about this photo.  Just be sure to use an image from Yumi and Fumi, The Greeting Farm, Sister Stamps or La-la Land Crafts.

I decided to use the the colors and the banner from the photo.  The image is Yumi with Book.  I am already working on end of the year gifts for teachers!  My daughter likes this one so she can give it to one of her teachers.  The banner die cuts are from CC Designs.

Here's a close up.

This is the inside of the card.  I rarely ever decorate the inside.  I recently got these gift card holder dies (the vertical and horizontal ones) and the coordinating sentiments from My Favorite Things when they were having their sale.

Here is the photo inspiration.  Don't you love these colors?

Please head over to Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts to see more creations by the DT and join in on this challenge!

Thanks for reading!

The cards goes very well with your photo inspiration. I can see the card on the bed. So sweet, innocent and pretty. I love the banner!

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...
