CC Designs July Review

Hi!  A quick post -- time for CC Designs July Review.  I have another summer card to share.

Here is Watermelon Abigail and the sentiment is from AmyR Sweet Summer Sentiments.  I really like these pun-y watermelon sentiments.  They are so fun!

Close up photo.  I added some white to the watermelon seeds and then covered them with glossy accents to make them shiny.  I prefer to eat watermelons with seeds.  I think they are a lot sweeter than seedless watermelons.  But they are kind of messy especially for the kiddies.

These summer days are going by quick!  I started organizing school supplies for my younger two.  I have a small stock pile of back to school stuff in a cabinet.  Yeah, I guess I hoard school supplies too as well as crafty stuff.  We have a huge box of just pencils!  Most were given as small treats to our kids from teachers or classmates.  I haven't had to buy any pencils in years.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

So cute! Love the bright colors. Cute watermelon! That's probably true, we haven't tried a seeded watermelon yet this summer. Cuz I don't really like the seeds! Ha, goes along with the chicken fat thing... I don't even like swallowing the white ones in the seedless either if I can help it. I guess I should keep an eye out for back to school sales. I already ordered some plain hoodie jackets and rolling backpacks! I think the backpacks are a little big though...

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...
