Felt covered hair clips

Hello!  Well, has it been a while?  I suppose so.  I've been kind of lazy not wanting to photograph my crafts and share them here.  But today, I got myself to get off my butt and do something.  Mostly I thought I'd rather blog today than clean up my crafty stash!  I've got cardstock and fabric laying in piles on the floor. 

I've been making some stuff cause on Saturday, I'll be at a friend's house trying to sell my creations.  I actually haven't made anything too new.  I still have my leftover calendars, some old cards, simple little earrings, hair bands and mini key chains.  I'll try to photo some of the stuff I haven't shared before. 

I thought I'd finally dig out those PTI dies to make these hair pins.  I have a love/hate relationship with PTI.  Today's post is about love towards PTI cause I think these turned out super cute.  And I didn't haven't to fight the dies into cutting the PTI felt.  So that was good too.  Pretty easy to make these but they do take some amount of time to stitch up by hand.

I used my PTI felt for these since I used up all the inexpensive Walmart felt on my felt mice during Christmas.  Those are just some heart buttons I had in my stash too.  Do you love the little Mama Elephant penguin with the big bow in her hair?  I know penguins have nothing to do with hair clips but it's so cute!

A set of yellow ones.  I just used embroidery floss to stitch these up. 

Here is the back of one.  So there is just one tiny thing that bugs me about the clips I made and that is that I had to tie a little knot on the back to hold my thread together.  I know I could've pulled them through the holes and tucked them under the felt so they can't be seen but then it was kind of lumpy.  I don't know, it bugs me a little and stuff like that bugs me but I am just going to let this go and go on with my crafty life. 

Maybe next post I'll share about what is driving me crazy in making Valentine treats for my son's class.

Cute hair clips! That penguin is so cute too! Ha, that darn little piece of thread! At least it's on the back where you can't see it when you're wearing the clips. Have fun at the craft party!

Wow, super cute Eva. Can't believe you hand-stitched them. Yup, I love that little penguin too. You have them packaged so professionally. These will make great gifts. Guaranty to be a big hit!!!!

I remember these when I was younger! If only my mom would have made these, I would have been the envy of all the little girls at school. hehehe.
Super cute Eva! If you have any left let me know. I can definitely buy them all up to give to my friends who have little girls. They'd love these!!

Love this! I have been making those barrettes too and have such a love/hate relationship with PTI. Their customer service is atrocious. I am obsessed with bows, I hope they still have that penguin set at Mama E. What's it called? Your stuff rocks.

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

coffee cup shaped cards

Hi!  I think after this post I may need a little nap!  My right shoulder is actually feeling worn out from all the typing and photo editing I've been doing lately.  And this cooler weather is making me drowsy.  It's getting cold here already! I made a bunch of these coffee shaped cards using a die from Honey Bee Stamps .  It's a cute coffee set but the die is extra long so it would probably help to have a longer platform to diecut.  I just have the standard sized one so I would pass it through once in my Big Shot and then rotate the cardstock and die carefully to cut the other end.  Manageable but the longer platform would be more convenient! I embossed the front of the card with some pretty snowflakes.  I think this is a Sizzix embossing folder.  And then stamped the coffee sleeve with some Lawn Fawn stamps. This is the inside.  The gift card slot does not come with this coffee cup die set.  I cut that opening with one ...

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE .  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny .  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.
