Aloha!

Hello!  Happy Saturday!  I have plans to finish a couple cards today.  That is my goal, to finish at least a card a day.  I don't know if I can actually do that but I'll try.  But of course, it's also laundry day.  Bleh.

I finished these Aloha cards the other day.  This is Sister Stamps Pua and Kaleo.  I think Aloha says it all.  It seems to be an all inclusive sentiment, great for any occasion.

Here is Pua.  I added the white Sharpie dots on her dress too.  I like using the white Sharpie better than other white gel pens that kind of fade or don't write too well.  The white Sharpie is a paint pen and I ordered it online from Taylored Expressions.  I don't know if that is the best deal but since I was putting an order through them anyway, I added the Sharpie.

Here is Kaleo.  He is kind of patriotic looking with his red, white & blue outfit.

Well, I am off to do the first load of laundry.  Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you're having a great weekend!

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

August 2012

Hi!  We had a short black out this morning and I didn't know what to do without my computer and internet, and I couldn't go blog surfing.  I was sad but I did cut everything out for my kids' Halloween goody bags.  Good thing my Big Shot isn't electric.

Anyway, I made another page to my 2012 calendar/scrapbook using MFT's sketch #39 and Pure Innocence Year of Flowers series Poppy.

Here's my page.  Somehow I'm not loving this one too much.  I love the image but somehow the colors remind me of fall too much and not too summery.  And I think the proportions are a bit off.  But I decided to just stick with it.  It's still cute.

Here's a picture of both pages.

I'm gonna have to wait til I order the next couple months to continue.  But I'm happy I've made it this far!

The kiddies are home for fall break.  It's nice but messy and noisy.  It may be a long week.

Thanks for reading!

no BUTTS about it

Hello!  Today I have a series of cards to share which I think are super cute and funny too.  I love Birdie Brown's stamp sets available at MFT and the cards today uses the behind images of the cat, dog & pig found in Cool Cat, Lucky Dog and Hog Heaven.

I had a couple of ideas for the design of this card but I felt the sentiment called for multiple images of the animal's behind.  I just couldn't let there be one image and the sentiment have plural Butts.  I know that is weird of me but things like that drive me a little crazy.  I won't get into how people misuse plural and possessive s though.  That really drives me crazy.  Anyway, so then I thought this would be a cute way to stamp multiple images over the card.  I created the sentiment on the front using an alphabet set from Lawn Fawn.

This is the sentiment on the inside which comes in the Cool Cat stamp set.

Here is the dog version.  These cards took a lot of time to color!
