Doctor cards

Hello!  I made three doctor or medical related cards today so I felt really productive.  But of course it's not just making cards anymore.  There's the photo taking, photo editing, then listing and then promoting.  I finally feel like I have a process of card making and listing on Etsy.  Oh, and then there is the packing and printing and taking packages to the post office.  I am so grateful my kids' school is near the post office but I wonder if the post office employees are tired of seeing me.  I go to a small one that's only open a few hours a week.

All three cards were made using Altenew's Doctors Rule stamp set.  I made a similar one to this a while ago and since it finally sold, I made another one.  But this one doesn't have the giftcard holder on the the inside already included like the original.  The stethoscope is heat embossed in gold.  And I tidy up the stamping of the sentiment with my Copic multiliner.

So while I was making these cards I looked up matching day and it's in March.  I like that this card is very unique for Match Day for doctors.  The stethoscope here is also heat embossed in gold.

Here is the 3rd card.  I like the heart!  It's just right for the right person.  Haha.  My kids keep telling me no one is gonna buy the cards with this heart on it.  I want to prove them wrong.

Okay, I have some other cards to finish up.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yeah, I kind of dread standing in line at the post office nowadays. We used to be able to leave our prepaid boxes on the side counter but now they want everyone to stand in line so they can double check the weight since some people were not paying the correct postage :( Neat cards!

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...
