All That Scraps June Preview -- Sweet November Stamps

Hello!  Welcome to another day of All That Scraps June previews.  Today we are introducing some cute Sweet November Stamps princesses.  These four princesses are adorable and I wanted to create a fancy schmancy card.  I remembered the tutorial on SCS called the bendi fold card so thought I'd give that a try.  There a lot of photos here so hope you make it til the end.

This is the front of the card.  The two front flaps curve and tuck into the card behind it.  The princesses reminded me of the Disney princesses so I colored them up like them.  All the sentiments are from AmyR's Simply Enchanting Sentiments.

Close up photo.  Right behind her you can see the head of the other princess.  I colored in some hair to the back so it wouldn't look weird.

When you open the right flap you can see the next 2 princesses.  The birds are from CC Designs Birdie Day and the tree is a die cut.  I used the die to cut out all the leaves!

I tried to add a bird to every page and grass too using the grass border die.

I actually looked up the eye colors of all the princesses too.

Here's a closer look at all the leaves and birds on the tree.  You can also see the little cut I made to slide in the tab of the front flap.

I really like this princess.  She might be my favorite one.

Here is how it looks when you open the left flap.

I had all these papers for a while too.  So happy that I still had the paper with the castle and carriage too.

The last princess.  I added some leaves to this side of the tree too.

Last photo!  This was fun to make and I loved how it came out.  But afterwards I thought, gee, I didn't really have to make the front flaps bend.  It would be cute just as a flat card too.  Maybe that will be next time.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...
