bear hugs

Hi again.  Back today to share a set of 3 cards I made with Mama Elephant's Bear Hugs.  Love how sweet the sentiments are in this set and the bears are too cute.  Here is the first one.  I wanted to use each of the 3 bear images so I colored them all with Copics and cut them out.  Then I made some distress ink water colored backgrounds.  I think in real life the background is a bit darker but got lightened in my photo editing.  I added the moon and heat embossed the stars and sentiment.  Also added some Stickles to the stars.  Here is the second one.  All the sentiments are the same.  I think these are cute for a child to give a parent and vise versa too. My last one.  I just thought today that these would make cute polar bears too and would be so much easier cause they could just be white!  Well, that's the last of my cards I made for this week.  Thanks for visiting!

hello you

Hi!  Just wanted to share this card so I can enter it into TGF's current Farm Fresh Friday . Here is a CAS card featuring Fairy Queen Anya.  She was on my wish list for a while and so happy that TGF put her up in the store.  I didn't think I could do that referral thing to get her.  I colored her up with Copics and wanted her hair to look different so I think I like the way that turned out.  The background was water colored with distress inks.  Then I heat embossed the sentiment and swirly lines using Lawn Fawn's Scripty Sayings.  Pretty quick and easy. Thanks for stopping by!

Doctors rule

Hello!  So the fun thing about selling your stash of stamps and dies is that you have some money to buy new stamps and dies.  Actually, I don't think I need too many dies any more.  Maybe a couple that are still on my wish list but I think I have become more of a CAS and one layer card maker.  It's just simpler and way easier to mail.  I think too that I need to be more selective when I buy stamps.  I don't wanna have a crazy huge stash anymore. I got a chance to purchase a couple of stamp sets from Altenew.  I wanted a set called Doctors Rule because soon I'll have some cousins becoming doctors.  So hopefully, this set will come in handy.  I ordered this set directly from the Altenew website and it took 5 business days and a weekend for them to actually mail it out.  I know the weekend doesn't count but when you're anxiously waiting for a new stamp set, it can seem like forever.  I probably would order their stamps else where nex...

Papertrey Ink Stamps and Dies for SALE!!!

EDITED TO ADD:  Sale is closed.  Thank you! Hello!  I am still selling my used stamps from The Greeting Farm.  If you are interested in that, please see my post HERE . Otherwise lets get on with this sale.  So here is how this sale will work. 1.  Sale is only for the USA.     2.  Prices are firm.  I think these prices are fair. 3.  Shipping will be through USPS first class mail with tracking or priority mail. 4.  Shipping & handling costs will be paid for by the buyer.  I am thinking shipping will cost at the minimum $3 unless it's just a small die.  Just FYI that 4 CD cases fit nicely in a small USPS priority shipping box. 5.  Payment will be made only through Paypal.  I will invoice you once all costs have been determined. 6.  All sales final.  Sorry, I also will not be responsible for mail that is lost by USPS.  Most of these stamps have only been stamped a few times and ...

simple sterling silver earrings

Hello!  Hmmm, my TGF sale seems to have slowed down but if you are interested in some older stamps please check out my post HERE . Today I have some sweet sterling silver earrings to share.  I saw these little charms and thought that they would make cute earrings. These are little penguins and they are probably my favorite.  I thought I'd give them to my daughter who loves penguins.  I attached these onto some sterling silver stud posts. A pair of cute seahorses.  These are on hook earrings.  I love little earrings like these.  They are small but still shiny and sparkly when they move. A pair of sweet hummingbirds. A pair of cherry blossoms. And a pair of hammered heart earrings.  I love these too.  I do plan on selling some of these sterling silver jewelry I've been making.  So if you see something you like just let me know.  Email is on the side bar.  I am working on the Etsy store.  Ha, I know I'...

The Greeting Farm Stamps for SALE!!!

EDITED TO ADD:  Sale is closed.  Thank you! Hello all!  I am clearing out my gently used TGF stamps.  It took me a few days to organize and go through everything.  I still love The Greeting Farm and I've actually put aside my favorites that I can't really part with but it's just too much.  I have too many stamps and it's just not that practical for me to hold on to them when I know I won't be able to use them. So here is how this sale will work. 1.  Sale is only for the USA.     2.  Prices are firm.  It took me a while to price these and I think they are fair. 3.  Shipping will be through USPS first class mail with tracking or priority mail. 4.  Shipping & handling costs will be paid for by the buyer.  I am thinking shipping will cost at the minimum $3. 5.  Payment will be made only through Paypal.  I will invoice you once all costs have been determined. 6.  All sales final.  Sorry, ...

pinky birthday favors

Hello!  I have to get started on chores so this will be a quick post.  My sister in law recently celebrated her 50th birthday so there was a surprise party and we made favors too. I thought about what I could make in a short amount of time.  To make me feel less stressed I thought the easiest was to pack up some yummy chocolates.  I printed out the little messages and cut each one out with one of my Spellbinders labels.  Then used some clear bags to pack them but also folded the bags like an accordion to make them fan out.  Thought these would be simple but pretty too. My hubby even helped out by cutting down this box and wrapping it with the cute Hello Kitty wrapping paper.  I think he was really proud of this so I have to share a photo of it. We made 60 favors in one night!  All of my kids helped.  They packed the chocolates, helped tape the fans together and my youngest one helped thread the ribbon into the printed labels....

personalized fabric keychains for teachers

Hello!  Today, I really felt as if time just flew by.  Before I knew it, I was rushing out to pick up my boys from school.  Every night I like to think whether or not I accomplished anything productive during the day and today I don't know if I did anything besides my usual chores and errands.  Hopefully, I'll be managing my time better tomorrow.  I finished up the rest of my kids' teacher gifts.  I just added a personalized aluminum disc to this fabric keychain I had made a while ago. For my daughter's teachers, I chose the school colors.  I gotta say I love the way these came out!  I used palaka fabric and made it wider so the yellow just peeks through. Close up of these keychains. I am in the middle of reducing my stamp stash.  I have a ton of TGF stamps I want to sell.  If you are interested or know someone who is looking for a certain TGF stamp, I might have it.  I have lots of the older retired stamps.  You ...

sterling silver jewelry

Hello!  Today I'm sharing the jewelry I made recently.  I shared these on FB so sorry if it's a repeat for some of you.  I've been admiring some of the cute and delicate sterling silver jewelry on Etsy.  And you know, being a crafter I can't just buy the finished product, I need to actually try to make it.  I've dabbled in some jewelry making years ago so I have some of the basic tools already. Here is a bracelet with a tiny cloud charm.  The chain is really very delicate.  Oh and sorry, but all that glue on my clothespins is so noticeable in these photos!  Kind of messy looking.  Anyway, I'm not too into this charm anymore since discovering that they are so thin and too fragile.  The cloud bends too easily! Here is one with a sweet bow.  I love this one.  I had seen a similar one on Etsy so had to make one too.  These are really sweet for weddings to give to bridesmaids with a saying about tying the knot.  Is...

personalized teacher gifts

Hello!  Hope everyone had a happy Easter!  With our 3 kids we receive tons of Easter candy.  I don't know quite what to do with it all because we definitely can't eat everything.  I still need to sort through all the goodies. I've started on teacher gifts for the end of the school year. Here are 3 keychains I made for some Japanese language teachers.  I stamped each teachers name and an apple onto an aluminum circle.  These aluminum circles are on the thin side so it's pretty light weight.  I attached a split ring through it and onto the heart shaped keychain.  I love the heart shaped ring!  So cute!  I think next time I will look into a thicker aluminum.  But I think I am getting the hang of metal stamping, and I think I stamped the names pretty evenly and not too lopsided.  Oh, did you notice my clothes pins?  I made something to hang my jewelry and chains on to make photographing them easier.  Just took an ...

felt peeps bunnies

Hello!  Just wanted to share my last Easter project.  I made these felt Peeps bunnies using a template I found here .  There are lots of templates out there and you could of course make your own but I thought these were cute.  I did make mine a little different.  I didn't add that long strip between the front and back.  Mostly cause I'm lazy, haha.  But they're still cute! So here are the 3 I made for my 3 kiddies.  I added a little heart button on all of them and used a blanket stitch to close them up after adding a little bit of stuffing.  Hardest was trying to get the stuffing into the ears! Here is the backside.  I added some white pom poms that I had leftover from the mice I made at Xmas time for their tails.  Cute and funny! I don't always give my kids treats at Easter but I like to surprise them every so often.  I like making them things that they can hold onto and maybe even show their own kids!  Yup, gon...
