Mitten Tag/Ornaments

Hi!  Here are some mitten tags I made from Spellbinders mitten dies.  One side has the red felt and the other some PTI cardstock so we could write the names on.  I used Liquid Stitch to glue the mittens together and the snowflake.

The red felt I just bought at Ben Franklin.  It cut pretty well.  The snowflake is the medium sized one from My Favorite Things Die-namics dies.  I used PTI felt for the snowflakes.  I tried using less expensive felt but it just wouldn't cut cleanly even when I tried to fatten up the layering recipe on the Big Shot.  Even with the PTI felt I used a sheet of cardstock to cut the snowflake out nicely.  I used some ribbon for the trim and red baker's twine.  I colored some clear bling with my red copic pen for the center of the snowflake.

On the reverse side of the mitten, I used PTI's Tiny Treats Xmas set (I use this set a lot!).  I thought the mittens matched so nicely.  I added some stickles.  That's the extent of my glitter use--it's not as messy.  The year is stamped with PTI's Simple Alphabet.

Tied the mittens onto some teachers' gifts that I wrapped up last night.  And after unwrapping the gifts, these tags can also be used as ornaments.

Will be entering these in a couple of challenges too.  ACLP's Tag It! challenge and Lollipop Crafts Christmas Tags challenge.

Can't believe it's almost Christmas!  Still have a lot to do.  Thanks for reading!

What cute mittens! The snowflakes look nice! Cute Tiny Treats stamps too. OK, I'm a slug, I might not even be able to make more Xmas cards in time to get in the mail.
Adorable gift tags! Smart girl to keep it clean and simple. Love the details and how the PTI TT mittens match so well. Happy Holidays to you!

These are so cute Eva! I like the idea of cardstock on the reverse side for writing on and the ribbon you've used for the cuffs are perfect, they're lovely ornaments too!

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

August 2012

Hi!  We had a short black out this morning and I didn't know what to do without my computer and internet, and I couldn't go blog surfing.  I was sad but I did cut everything out for my kids' Halloween goody bags.  Good thing my Big Shot isn't electric.

Anyway, I made another page to my 2012 calendar/scrapbook using MFT's sketch #39 and Pure Innocence Year of Flowers series Poppy.

Here's my page.  Somehow I'm not loving this one too much.  I love the image but somehow the colors remind me of fall too much and not too summery.  And I think the proportions are a bit off.  But I decided to just stick with it.  It's still cute.

Here's a picture of both pages.

I'm gonna have to wait til I order the next couple months to continue.  But I'm happy I've made it this far!

The kiddies are home for fall break.  It's nice but messy and noisy.  It may be a long week.

Thanks for reading!

I need to catch up!

Hello!  I've been neglecting my blog!  And I don't want to do that since we've put a lot of work into posting these past years.  But just some days don't have much energy to take photos and then blog.  This is my catch up post.  Sharing some cards I've made this summer which isn't a lot because summer seemed to be a busy time with the kiddies.

I made a few pet sympathy cards using Taylored Expressions Care & Comfort.

Just used a very simple design since I like keeping sympathy cards minimal.

I love Lawn Fawn's punny sentiments!  So I got this one called Stinkin' Cute.  I paired it with the tree stump from the Mom & Me set.  I have some other punny ones that I haven't even inked up and colored yet.  I have to get going on making more cards!

Here is another Lawn Fawn one.  I've had this stamp set, Life is Good, for so long and didn't use it until this past month or so.  He's such a cute crab!

This is the last card I've made rec…
