Bella Xmas

Hi!  I have my first Christmas card of the year to share today.  I used my very new Wild Rose Studio's Bella on Bauble!  After always admiring Rinne's holiday cards, I can finally join in at Christmas Card Challenges.   The challenge this week (#36) is to use something new.

Oh, isn't Bella adorable as usual?  I couldn't resist these when I saw them so I had to order them right away.  The sentiment and green paper is also from Wild Rose Studio.  I went simple again with this card layout.

I went with non-traditional pink/purple colors for this card.  I added Stickles to the stars and Flower soft to Bella's Santa hat.

So I was gonna say how the name Bella always reminds me of Twilight these days.  And how shocked I was that Kristen Stewart could cheat on Rob Pattinson!  Like what?!  and like why?!  The other guy was old and married and had kids.  Really?!

But now that seems unimportant after finding out that there are no online stores that are allowed to deliver Copics to the island of Oahu.  (Edit:  Let me clarify that there are online stores that can deliver to the other Hawaiian Islands but NOT to Oahu).  Like WHAT?!  I think I could lay down in the woods and cry like Bella after Edward leaves her.  So what are the crafty Copic coloring Oahu folks supposed to do???  We have basically one choice and a few smaller crafty stores to go to.  Before I start complaining and wailing I will be fair and check out that store and try not to faint if the prices are astronomical or if the supply is low.  It just feels so unfair, so un-American to have our choices cut down.  Yeah, I know Copics is Japanese.  Maybe I gotta try Korean ShinHan?

So are there any other Oahu crafters that read my blog?  Where are you gonna buy your Copics from???

Thanks for reading!

Hope that place isn't too high.

Yikes, no Copics! Say it isn't so!!! Maybe we could work out something if you can't find a place. I could acquire them for ya, and then ship them to you in Hawaii???
This is adorable. You know you can add this to my challenge that is going on right now as well. Have a great day:)

Wow, that sucks! What about the Ben Franklin stores on Oahu don't they carry copics? And they are alot of places on line that is way cheaper too. Shoot me an email and give me the names that don't ship to Oahu, and see if I can help you from where I buy mines from.....
BTW I love that cute elephie on the ornament... He is just too adorable...
Oh that is dreadful about copics! But have you checked out ebay? shhh that is where I get a lot of my markers and SO CHEAP! Love your cute little card...gorgeous shading! :)

WTG on starting on your Christmas cards...adorable image!

Pfttt to those on-line stores that won't send to you. Don't you know any mainlanders who could send you a few Copics in the mail? LOL!

Sooo cute! Love that little chubby elephant! But ack, you're freaking me out about Xmas already! Yeah, I've been thinking about the Xmas card challenge blog since January since I couldn't even use all my holiday stamps before the holiday, and now it's August already! Did they ever finish that movie series for Twilight? I don't even remember which movie I saw last. So what's up with the Copics? Is there only one store there on your island that has a monopoly on them or something?

So cute, Eva! and you got my email, right? So you know the stores on Oahu that carry some. However, it's kind of weird in that some online stores do say they will not ship outside the continential USA with the exception of Oahu. Which is incorrect, lol. I'm pretty much stocked, but most of it was via the expensive authorized dealer here. :( Heard Shinhan is good, though, and cheaper. Never tried it.

Oh, Eva, I hear ya about the copics. Drives me crazy, too! That's why it took Ben Franklin so long to be able to even sell them. Most of my copics came from Japan and that art store that has the exclusive Oahu rights. But I've only bought them during their inventory sale. Online, I did get the Copics carrying case (380)but I had it shipped to my brother in Vegas and he shipped it to me.had a hard time explaining whay Ihad to ship it to his house!LOL!

But enough of that...your card is too cute!

Awwww, thanks for playing along! Love your coloring...and now I must get this stamp! Hehehe! Although I just colored that first stamp of Bella that I bought months ago.

Yeah, too bad for Kristen Stewart -- big mistake!

So sorry about your Copics dilemma. That sucks. Try Ebay?

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire through the hat and then use it as

coffee cup shaped cards

Hi!  I think after this post I may need a little nap!  My right shoulder is actually feeling worn out from all the typing and photo editing I've been doing lately.  And this cooler weather is making me drowsy.  It's getting cold here already! I made a bunch of these coffee shaped cards using a die from Honey Bee Stamps .  It's a cute coffee set but the die is extra long so it would probably help to have a longer platform to diecut.  I just have the standard sized one so I would pass it through once in my Big Shot and then rotate the cardstock and die carefully to cut the other end.  Manageable but the longer platform would be more convenient! I embossed the front of the card with some pretty snowflakes.  I think this is a Sizzix embossing folder.  And then stamped the coffee sleeve with some Lawn Fawn stamps. This is the inside.  The gift card slot does not come with this coffee cup die set.  I cut that opening with one of the dies from MFT's gift card dies.

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE .  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny .  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card. If you've read the story
