All That Scraps May Review

Hello!  Hope everyone enjoyed Mother's Day!  I got a lot of sweet gifts that the kiddies made at school.  Don't you just love the cute ideas the teachers think of?  My older boy wrote me a 2 page letter!  I will save it and probably embarrass him with it when he gets older.  Maybe for his first girlfriend or at his wedding?  Haha, I'm a mean mommy.

Anyway, back to sharing my creation for All That Scraps May Review

Here's my card featuring Tumbleweeds Zoom.  The sentiment is from Sunny Sentiments.  I thought it'd be cute if I added the little birdies from the Birdie Day stamp set.  They're hitching a ride!  I love these birdies!  They are perfect little add ons to any card.  And I've had that paper forever.  It's really one of my favorites and I found a piece large enough to make this card.  It's so fun and cheery and bright!

Have you noticed that All That Scraps has been bringing in a lot of new products?  I want to get everything!  They have lots of new stamps and will be bringing in Doodlebug cardstock!  I can't wait!  And they have weekly sales.  Check out the store if you haven't in a while.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!

This is so dang cute and oh boy do I love the happy colors. I can imagine how cute the letter from your son is. I also saved certain cards, drawings, etc. when our sons were little. They crack up now when they see or read them. Have a fun and crafty evening Eva.

Knuffle Bunny

Hi!  The Greeting Farm had their Customer Challenge & Chit Chat Night "A Night at the Bookstore" and introduced a few challenges.  I have to say chatting was too fast for me and I couldn't really keep up.  It was still early here, and I had to pick up the kids from school and activities and make dinner and eat and so I guess the timing didn't really work out with our schedule. You can check out the challenge details on the SCS forum HERE.  I made this card for Favorite Child's Book category.  It is based on the Mo Willems book Knuffle Bunny.  It's one of my kids' favorites and it's such a cute story.  We actually love reading Mo Willems' books especially his Elephant and Piggie series.  Those books are hilarious!  This challenge also made me realize that I haven't read many books recently except kids' books.  I used to love reading but just haven't given it much time lately.  Anyway, here is my card.

If you've read the story, yo…

August 2012

Hi!  We had a short black out this morning and I didn't know what to do without my computer and internet, and I couldn't go blog surfing.  I was sad but I did cut everything out for my kids' Halloween goody bags.  Good thing my Big Shot isn't electric.

Anyway, I made another page to my 2012 calendar/scrapbook using MFT's sketch #39 and Pure Innocence Year of Flowers series Poppy.

Here's my page.  Somehow I'm not loving this one too much.  I love the image but somehow the colors remind me of fall too much and not too summery.  And I think the proportions are a bit off.  But I decided to just stick with it.  It's still cute.

Here's a picture of both pages.

I'm gonna have to wait til I order the next couple months to continue.  But I'm happy I've made it this far!

The kiddies are home for fall break.  It's nice but messy and noisy.  It may be a long week.

Thanks for reading!

no BUTTS about it

Hello!  Today I have a series of cards to share which I think are super cute and funny too.  I love Birdie Brown's stamp sets available at MFT and the cards today uses the behind images of the cat, dog & pig found in Cool Cat, Lucky Dog and Hog Heaven.

I had a couple of ideas for the design of this card but I felt the sentiment called for multiple images of the animal's behind.  I just couldn't let there be one image and the sentiment have plural Butts.  I know that is weird of me but things like that drive me a little crazy.  I won't get into how people misuse plural and possessive s though.  That really drives me crazy.  Anyway, so then I thought this would be a cute way to stamp multiple images over the card.  I created the sentiment on the front using an alphabet set from Lawn Fawn.

This is the sentiment on the inside which comes in the Cool Cat stamp set.

Here is the dog version.  These cards took a lot of time to color!
