All That Scraps November Review

Hello!  It's another review week at All That Scraps .  I chose to use the Birdie Day stamp set again because there are so many different images and sentiments and could be used for so many occasions.  It's perfect for every day cards/notes too. I made a simple card that could be used along with a baby gift or house-warming gift too.  I thought I'd add my own little egg.  It's actually the center of a letter die cut.  I colored it up with Copics, cut a small slit through the nest and slid the egg in just a bit.  The birdies were cut with the coordinating dies.  The sentiment is also from the Birdie Day stamp set. Please head over to the ATS blog to see some cute inspiration by the DT. Thanks for reading!

TGF's Double-Take Tuesday!

Hello!  I am hosting TGF's Double-Take Tuesday for this week!  I made a sketch.  Only the second sketch I've created in my entire life.  It's pretty simple so hope you can give it a try. So I used James for my sketch.  The sentiment is from TGF's Sweet & Toxic set.  I used my Perfect Layers rulers for the black mats. After I colored him up, I thought he reminded me a bit of Damon from The Vampire Diaries!  Yeah, a sign that I'm watching too much of that show.  But it's kind of addictive.  I'm somewhere in the middle of the 3rd season. Alright, please check out TGF's blog for more challenge inspiration and details! Thanks for reading!

Yumi & Fumi Handmade Winter Release

Hello!  Turkey-ed out yet?  This was our 4th night of turkey!  Though we made turkey noodle soup tonight.  And I'm super stuffed from eating pumpkin pie too.  Well, on to tonight's post!  If you've been waiting for Yumi & Fumi Handmade's Winter Release , it's finally here.  And there is a Cyber Monday sale too!  You can get 20% off when you use the code YFCYBERMON20 .  It is a one time use coupon valid only on November 26 and expires at 11:59 PST.  Talk about perfect timing! This card features Winter Chuckles.  I thought he looked like he was having fun in the snow.  The sentiment is from CC Designs and the snowflake dies are from My Favorite Things.  I also wanted to share this set of cards.  I wanted to create a little scene but also keep each image on its own card.  On the left is Yeti Yumi, in the middle we have Bob the Yeti, and on the right is Yeti Fumi.  The sentiment is the same on al...

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Cinema!

Hello!  I'm taking a break from Thanksgiving cooking for a quick post.  It's time for a new Farm Fresh Friday and Sara is hosting a challenge based on your favorite movie. I've made a few cards before based on movies so I was kind of stuck on thinking of another movie since I hardly watch movies in the first place.  But finally I was inspired to make this one.  Can you guess the movie?  I used Anya Styles to represent Carrie from Sex and the City.  The background is MFT's Skyline Border die.  I thought about making the rest of the girls too but yeah, I am totally too into the second season of The Vampire Diaries.  I may catch up to the current season soon. Okay, I'm going back to turkey duty. Thanks for reading!

Naughty or Nice????

Hello!  I have a terrible addiction these days.  Not to stamping or coloring or card making but to watching The Vampire Dairies.  Anyone watch that?  I started watching the episodes while I was walking on my treadmill.  Kind of needed something to past the time while I pretended to exercise.  Now I'm totally hooked.  But it's bad because now I just watch that instead of exercising.  It's so much more enjoyable just to watch something without having to sweat.  So I may be falling a tad behind on crafting.  Hehe.  I will have to force myself back to reality soon. Here are a couple of post it covers that I made.  You might have seen it at All That Scraps recently. They're a little different looking.  The one on the left has a little notch in it.  I made that one first after I had seen a little note thingy that we got in the mail.  I liked the idea of the pen being tucked inside like that and I just copied it ...

TGF's Double Take Tuesday!

Hi!  Today is another color challenge over at TGF's Double Take Tuesday !  Here are the colors:  frost blue, sage green, white and baby pink. I have to admit that I thought these colors were a bit hard.  I actually looked up sage green.  Haha.  And had to think about frost blue as well.  But similar colors are fine so don't let that hold you back from jumping into the challenge. I decided to use Holiday Anya 2.  She is very festive looking with her big bow. Please hop over to TGF's blog for more inspiration! Thanks for reading!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Twilight or Fantasy

Hello!  It is time for another fun Farm Fresh Friday !  This week Jess Diedrich is challenging us to create projects inspired by the Twilight series or Fantasy if you're not into Twilight. Okay, I don't think I'm necessarily Twilight crazy.  Like I won't stand in a super long line for the movie to open or watch all of them in a row in the theatre.  My butt would get sore for one thing.  I would watch them all at home where I can just be comfy in my own living room and pause to use the bathroom freely and eat when I'm hungry.  As a whole I liked the books and the movies so I made a Twilight inspired card using the new James and Sadie.  The quote on the bottom I found online since there are like a million Twilight things.  The forever is a small portion of a longer sentiment stamp from PTI.  I kind of created this card after I had seen some of the movie posters online.  They had forever printed on some of them. I am so waiting for ne...

All That Scraps November Preview

Hello!  Wow, I almost lost track of the days and time, and didn't realize I have something to post again.  This is a special All That Scrap s Preview of a new stamp set called Little Birdies.  The whole set is just so cute and comes with so many images.  I didn't know which to pick! I picked 2 little birdies from the set.  There are 4 total and there are also matching dies to the birds so cutting is easy.  The little fountain and sentiment are part of the set.  I also used this amazing tree die!  I love the tree!  It also comes with those cute leaves!  Behind the tree is the four seasons fence die.  I also used the grass border die. Awww, aren't they cute?!  I love these birds! Please be sure to check out the rest of the creations from the DT HERE .  This set will be available on the 15th. Thanks for reading and for your wonderfully, encouraging comments!

This new release will be available November 26.  Please head over to Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts to see the rest of the release.  There are some fun new characters!  And we have special guests helping us out by sharing their crafty talent! TGF's Doube Take Tuesday!

Hello!  Wow, I actually slept in until 8 am for 2 mornings!  That was nice and I'm surprised the kiddies did not wake me up for food. Anyway, this week Shaela has created a fun sketch for Double Take Tuesday . Here is my card with Twinkle Bean.  Thought I'd take a break from all those Christmas cards I've been making. A little close up. Hope you'll follow along with this week's sketch! Thanks for reading!  I'll be back with a second post.

All That Scraps November Review

Hi again!  Today we are doing a review of the November stamps (Mashi's Muffins and Futuristic) released over at All That Scraps .  I'll be sharing a Futuristic card. This is Jackie Frost.  I colored her in shades of purple this time instead of blue.  I had to test out my Big Shot so I cut out the square doily from Cheery Lynn Designs which is really intricate.  It cut out nicely so I was happy. A close up.  I just stuck with a simple design and card. I will be back tomorrow with a special All That Scraps preview of a new and super cute stamp set! Thanks for reading!

Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts Challenge #7 -- Use Ribbon or Lace

Hello!  Happy Sunday!  After months of waking up early every single day including the weekends because of our kids' activities, we can finally sleep in on at least one day of the week.  I am always the breakfast prepper so no matter what I get up to wake up the kids and get them their breakfast even if my hubby ends up driving them to their activities.  Sometimes I wish I could sleep more!  So yay for Sundays! Anyway, hope you are all ready for another fun and simple challenge at Yumi & Fumi !  We are challenging you to use ribbon and lace.  And you will have 3 weeks to complete this challenge!  Hope that helps since Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  This is definitely a busy time of year. I decided to make a Christmas card with Fumi with Gift.  I added some red lace and that tiny little bow above the sentiment from Wild Rose Studio.  I bought that little bow from a local store here, taj.  So many cute little t...

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- ABC

Hello!  Ready for another Farm Fresh Friday ?  This week Jess M. is challenging us to make Anything But a Card (ABC).  It sounds daunting but a simple tag or bookmark will do. I made a door hanger for my daughter.  I found a pack of those inexpensive wood hangers at Walmart.  I'm not sure what to call it but it's thin and easy to decorate.  And I know I buy a lot of stuff at Walmart but it's way closer than Target and I don't think I've ever seen like a dollar bin at Target.  Maybe ours doesn't have one. I used this cute little Big Anya called Anya Styles.  I made her phone pink like my daughter's one.  I should try to style my daughter's hair like this instead of trying to fight her waves and smashing her hair down every morning with water and styling products.  We should try to just poof her hair up.  I remember we all wanted big hair back in the day.  Why do girls all want stick straight hair these days?  Some s...

Mini Composition Books

Hello!  Just a quick post to share the little composition books I altered.  You can see my post about them and more photos on The Greeting Farm's blog too. Notice my cute My Melody washi tape?? It is so hot here, I'm all sweaty just typing.  Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps November Review

Hello!  It is review day for CC Designs at All That Scraps .  Christine created so many cute stamps for November!  I love the Meoples series.  They are so cute and small enough so making cards is quick and easy. I made a set of 4x4 inch Christmas cards using the Meoples Brrrrrr! set.  They came together quickly since I used a similar design for most of them. The card also features the Dress Up Snowman stamp.  I used the snowman die to cut it out.  Which reminds me, I finally have my Big Shot fixed!  Those new bearings sure make a big difference in how smoothly my handle turns now and it cuts so easily again.  But I'm not sure if it would've been easy for me to fix it myself.  I had my hubby do it and he had to hammer out the old ones, put the new ones in and then reassemble the whole thing back together.  So now I'm thinking I should replace the bearings after every so many years or so many cranks to keep it in good conditio...
