Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts Challenge #7 -- Use Ribbon or Lace

Hello!  Happy Sunday!  After months of waking up early every single day including the weekends because of our kids' activities, we can finally sleep in on at least one day of the week.  I am always the breakfast prepper so no matter what I get up to wake up the kids and get them their breakfast even if my hubby ends up driving them to their activities.  Sometimes I wish I could sleep more!  So yay for Sundays!

Anyway, hope you are all ready for another fun and simple challenge at Yumi & Fumi!  We are challenging you to use ribbon and lace.  And you will have 3 weeks to complete this challenge!  Hope that helps since Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  This is definitely a busy time of year.

I decided to make a Christmas card with Fumi with Gift.  I added some red lace and that tiny little bow above the sentiment from Wild Rose Studio.  I bought that little bow from a local store here, taj.  So many cute little things in that store!

Please hop over to Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts to see the DT's creations!  Hope to see your card linked up for the challenge!

Thanks for reading!

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

It's a short hop list this time around! Perfect Paper Crafting & Laura My Mind's Eye Pam Jenny Eva (Me!) Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...
