personalized teacher gifts

Hello!  Hope everyone had a happy Easter!  With our 3 kids we receive tons of Easter candy.  I don't know quite what to do with it all because we definitely can't eat everything.  I still need to sort through all the goodies.

I've started on teacher gifts for the end of the school year.

Here are 3 keychains I made for some Japanese language teachers.  I stamped each teachers name and an apple onto an aluminum circle.  These aluminum circles are on the thin side so it's pretty light weight.  I attached a split ring through it and onto the heart shaped keychain.  I love the heart shaped ring!  So cute!  I think next time I will look into a thicker aluminum.  But I think I am getting the hang of metal stamping, and I think I stamped the names pretty evenly and not too lopsided.

Oh, did you notice my clothes pins?  I made something to hang my jewelry and chains on to make photographing them easier.  Just took an old piece of wood and painted it white.  Then I added 4 small clothespins.  So much easier to display also.

Here is a close up of one of them.

This is a piece I stamped a couple months ago.  Funny saying?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wow Eva! These are fantastic! You are a super crafter as well as super mom. I love the gifts for the teachers. They will keep them forever! I love, love the saying on the other key chain....all moms will recognize the simple truth of that sentiment.

What fabulous keepsakes for the teacher's...they sure are going to appreciate these when they get them! Love the "super power" tag too...the saying sums it all up! Your clothespin holder is very clever and creative...you definately had your thinking cap on for this!

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...
