All That Scraps November Preview Day 4

Hello!  Last day of previews for All That Scraps!  Today I have a different kind of stamp and card to share.  I think mostly I like to make cutesy stuff but every so often I wanna try coloring something different. So here is Jackie Frost.  I really like her wings!  The sentiment is from Winter Chuckles. A close up.  I added some stickles to the snowflake and the swirls from her mouth but of course it's hard to see! Anyway, by the time this post goes live we'll be Trick or Treating with the kiddies somewhere.  Hope it doesn't rain!  Halloween is always such a busy time for the kiddies especially when it lands on a school night.  Hmmm, could someone make it a holiday?  Actually the next day has to be a holiday.  Hope you're all having a fun and safe Halloween! Thanks for reading!

A Clear Christmas

Hello!  Just popping in to share a quick card I made using one of the stamps from TGF's Sparkling Season stamp set. I was just experimenting with embossing on clear cardstock.  I got a pack from PTI a while ago and their clear cardstock is a bit on the thicker side.  The snowflake is a punch that I have.  I notice sometimes my punches have a hard time going all the way through thicker cardstock.  So frustrating and it makes my hand sore trying to squeeze it through.  Which is why I love using dies except I am still waiting for the other parts of my Big Shot.  Hopefully, they'll be here soon. Tonight All That Scraps is also previewing some cute Sweet November stamps.  Check them out! Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps November Preview Day 2

Hello!  Today All That Scraps is previewing Mashi's Muffins stamps.  Please head over to the blog to see the fun Mashi stamps! I wanted to share a card featuring CC Designs Dress Up Snowman which is part of the November release as well. Are these guys super cute?  I stamped the snowman twice and cut them out.  They come with fun little dress up winter clothes!  There is also a die to cut the snowman out if you don't like fussy cutting.  The wooden fence is a die cut called The Four Seasons Fence which will also be available on release day, November 1st.  In the corner is the same snowflake die and sentiment that I used on my card from yesterday's post. Love the little Doodlebug paper in the back!  That is all for today!  Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps November Preview Day 1

Hello!  So excited to bring you today's previews of CC Designs from All That Scraps .  Every month I am totally amazed at the releases and think I am so lucky to get to play with these stamps!  I love this image!  How cute are they?  This is called Sisters but they could represent any two girls.  So mine are best friends.  I actually had to paper piece the little green dress because I didn't like how I had it colored the first time.  It has been so hot and humid here so I was coloring with the fan on and pointed towards me but it was also drying out my Copic coloring too quickly and so the colors were not blending nicely.  So I had to move the fan and try again and get all sweaty.  Paper is from the Doodlebug.  Love their paper pads!  The sentiment is from Winter Chuckles and the snowflake is a new die from this release as well.   A little closeup of the BFFs. No large tsunami waves for us.  Every...

Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts Challenge #6 -- Bring the Bling!

Hello!  We're in the middle of a tsunami warning!  We aren't near the coast so I think we are okay.  I will be making this short.  It is time for another challenge over at Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts !  We challenge you to Bring the Bling! I used Yumicorn.  Doesn't she look so sweet?  I love the rainbow paper behind her and so I colored her horn in rainbow colors.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. Added a lot of stickles to her horn and wings.  Also added some rhinestones for more bling! Please check out the more bling-ed out creations over at Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts and join in on this challenge! Thanks for reading!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- CAS!

Hello!  We are going CAS (clean and simple) this week for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday !  I know that can be hard for some of you who like to embellish up a storm on every card but there is something to be said just stamping and being done.  Especially when we are getting busier! I made a set of CAS Christmas cards using TGF's newest clear Xmas stamps.  These were easy to make.  I stamped each image twice, one on kraft and one on white.  I colored the images on the white cardstock with my Copics and cut them out and glued them onto the kraft cardstock.  I know I've said that I love red on kraft but I really love how the green looks on kraft too!  I guess just about any bright color on kraft really makes the image stand out. Here are the cards individually. Hope you'll be able to find time for this challenge! Thanks for reading!

TGF's Tutorial Thursday -- Interactive Card!

Hello!  I am so sorry for being such a lazy commenter these past few days/weeks.  I will try to get to commenting again.  I've been feeling lazy after doing the chores and errands.  I guess the busy time of the year is slowly creeping up again.  And to make my life more complicated, I had to get into a car accident a couple days ago.  We're okay but my car is a little dented so I need to get that taken care of.  I was a little ticked off that someone had hit my car (after I washed it and all!) but I couldn't stay upset with the driver.  He was so apologetic.  He apologized to me and my boys.  And I've been there in his shoes feeling the worse amount of guilt after I rear ended this elderly lady a few years ago.  But she was the nicest lady who wasn't even upset that I hit her.  So how could I stay mad at the driver who hit our car?  Hopefully, he isn't feeling too stressed or guilty about it. Well, onto my card.  I ...

TGF's Double Take Tuesday!

Hello!  There is a new Double Take Tuesday over at The Greeting Farm .  Melissa is the host and wants us to use the colors purple, green and black.  Sounds a bit Halloween-ish but it doesn't have to be.  I used Latte Anya and made a non-Halloween card.  Her hat is paper pieced and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.  I also used my Perfect Layers rulers to create my mats. A close up of Latte Anya. Hope you'll all have a chance to play along! Thanks for reading!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Pearls

Hello!  It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday !  Jas is challenging us to use pearls on our creations!  I went really CAS on this card.  I heat embossed the snowflakes from TGF's Sparkling Season using a glittery red and added some pearls in the centers.  The red really sparkles in person but not so much here in the photo.  I love the look of red on kraft and next week I'll have more Xmas cards to share that I made on kraft cardstock.  But I did feel like I was cheating a bit since it's so CAS.  I even tried to see if some twine would look good on it somewhere but in the end I left it alone. So lately I've been thinking what I should do when I decide to go back to work.  Do I go back to being a speech therapist or should I just work in a less stressful field.  I'm sure all jobs are stressful in their own ways no matter what it is.  Plus I need a part time job cause I still need to go pick up the kids from school.  S...

All That Scraps October Review

Hi!  Today All That Scraps is reviewing Mashi's Muffins!  These stamps always look fun and happy! Here is my card featuring Elfen.  Love her big, bright smile so I had to go with that particular sentiment which is from Fanciful Christmas.  The little tree is a die cut.  Isn't it cute? I'm not sure but my colors may be off on this monitor.  I haven't adjusted the colors since switching out my monitor so I think my photos look a bit darker than usual.  Yes?  No? Anyway, I washed the car this morning and I'm tired.  I realize that it is so much better to go to the car wash or let my hubby wash the car.  For one thing, the car is too big for me to wash.  I can't reach the roof even with a ladder so there are spots down the middle of our car roof.  And the tires are a big pain too.  I don't want to make the rims shiny like my hubby does.  And now my fingernails are yucky too.  But today I promised not to be s...

A Fall Birthday

Hello!  I have to post my card quick!  Guess I wasn't paying much attention to when the challenge ends over at Tiddly Ink.  Hope it's okay that I am entering a second card for their Fall Challenge #95 .  I colored up Hanging Around Wryn and decided to turn it into a Fall birthday card.  I printed out Happy Birthday and stamped the leaf from Paper Smooches multiple times and colored them.  We don't really have a noticeable Fall season here.  It's still pretty hot and the leaves don't change much like they do elsewhere. We just got back from the pumpkin patch so we are dirty and dusty.  But we bought our pumpkins and lots of yummy veggies and fruits from the farm.  Now I need to recuperate! Thanks for reading!

Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts Challenge #5

Hi!  Today is the start of Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts Challenge #5 .  This challenge may be difficult for some of you especially if you love paper.  We are challenging you to not use any patterned papers!  I kind of like the simple look of not having any patterned papers.  I used Yumi & Fumi, colored them in with Copics and placed the image on a Spellbinders die cut.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  We hope you'll be able to join in on the challenge!  Please hop on over to the Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts blog to see the Top 3 and the wonderful creations by the rest of the DT. Thanks so much for reading!

Too cute to spook!

Hello!  Everything is falling apart!  I still haven't fixed my Big Shot.  I got the handle that Sizzix sent me but it doesn't fit because the bearing is actually broken on my machine.  So they are sending me that too but I don't exactly know how to change those out.  We'll see cause I'm up for a tutorial soon and I wanted to do something with my Big Shot.  I hope I get the parts in time. And this morning I couldn't start up my computer.  I wake up early most days just to check what's up in blogland and my monitor actually died on me.  But my hubby switched my monitor out and now I'm online again.  I have such a strong addiction to the internet!  Anyway, last week I colored up some Tiddly Inks Wryns but only now have some time to post one of my cards.  I really missed seeing Wryn!  I made the card below for Tiddly Inks current Fall Challenge #95 . I used one of the new digis called Witchy Wryn .  She's cute!  I...

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Buttons and Bows

Hello!  It's a Buttons and Bows theme for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday !  I created a simple card for this challenge. I used the snowflakes from Sparkling Season stamp set and heat embossed them in white onto vellum.  I used a Tim Holtz snowflake embossing folder on the kraft cardstock and added lots of Stickles.  Then just added a simple bow and red button.  I like this combo of white, kraft and red. I've been kind of lazy this week.  Didn't really color or anything.  Must be the weather.  It is so hot and muggy here and not to mention voggy too.  The vog just cleared today I think, but it's still so hot!  I need stronger trade winds! Anyway, hope you'll join in the challenge!  Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps October Review

Hello again!  This is my second post for the night so please scroll down to see my TGF Retrofresh challenge post. Today All That Scraps is reviewing CC Designs stamps.  I love the cute releases this month! I made a card with Santa Lula.  Isn't she adorable!  I added a sentiment from Scripted Greetings Fanciful Christmas which I heat embossed in red.  This set has so many sentiments!  I love the sayings.  The gold bells are dies from this release too.  I cut mine from gold origami.  I'm thinking I should get some silver origami too to make shiny bells.  I added a stronger piece of cardstock to the bells so they aren't so flimsy. Santa Lula has some flower soft added to her hat and dress and socks. Please head over to the ATS blog to check out more cuteness! Thanks for reading!

TGF's October Retrofresh -- I Want Candy!

Hello!  It's October and time for The Greeting Farm's monthly Retro-Fresh challenge .  The theme this month is I Want Candy!  Anything related to candy is good to go and it doesn't have to be a Halloween theme either. I went with Halloween and colored up the little guys from the Spooktacular set.  I have them in rubber stamps but now they are available as digis.  I used my convenient orange cup from Walmart and made this lollipop treat holder. Here is another view.  In the cup I layered some tissue paper on the bottom and then added a piece of styrofoam to stick the lollipops and skewers through. Another view.  I added black crepe paper and some green grass and you can spot some plastic spiders which used to be rings but I cut the ring part off.  A pretty simple Halloween treat.  Probably will give this to one of the teachers. Hope you'll all be joining us this month!  Please hop over to TGF's blog to see all the challenge...

TGF's Double Take Tuesday!

Hi!  Have you heard about TGF's new challenge called Double Take Tuesdays (DTT) ?  It started last week.  Every week you'll need to check in to see what kind of challenge it is.  There is a bit of a change with the prizes too depending on the number of players we get.  So if you want a chance for a rubber prize better get your friends into playing along too!  You can read all the details HERE . This week Kelli is hosting a color challenge using white, aqua, grey and yellow .  The colors don't have to be exact. Here is my take on the colors.  I used Latte Anya.  She's a bit more blue than aqua but hey, it's close enough!  The sentiment is from Anya Lifts.  I also used Jess D.'s sketch from last week's first DTT . So hope you'll have time to play along!  Thanks for reading!
