All That Scraps January Preview

Hello!  Back today to share another preview from All That Scraps January release.  I have 2 fun baby cards from Lil Lads and Lolitas to share today. This is Baby Lilith!  When I first saw these, I thought they were so fun and cute!  The sentiment is from the Baby Cakes set and is stamped on a baby bottle die. Every time I see her face, it makes me giggle. Here is Baby Frankie.  I used a similar layout.  The sentiment is from Baby Cakes as well.  He looks a little sleep deprived, doesn't he?  Kind of how my kids look when they are past their bedtimes!  Which reminds me that they are all planning to stay up til midnight tonight for New Year's.  We'll see how that goes. Isn't this banner adorable?  It's from Sanrio's FB page!  Happy New Year everyone!     Oh, please check out All That Scraps for more previews!  There are 2 more cute Lil Lads and Lolitas! Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps January Preview

Hello!  It's the start of All That Scraps January Preview !  Today is Day 1 and I'm sharing some cute Meoples!  I love these Meoples!  They are so fast to color and you can make some fast cards! This is the first card I have to share.  There are 3 images total in this Meoples set called Lucky Rainbow.  These are 2 of them.  The sentiments are from Lucky Sentiments.  I fussy cut them out and popped them up on this Reverse Wonky Rectangles card.  This is the third image from the Lucky Rainbow set.  Isn't she cute too?  This sentiment is also from Lucky Sentiments.  I used the Lucky Charms die set too which includes both four leaf clovers I used on this card and a horseshoe die. Be sure to check out the rest of the DT's creations!  And link up in the January Banner Blog Giveaway too. Thanks for reading and I'll be back tomorrow for another preview!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Farmer Farewell

Hello!  It is my very last FFF for TGF !  It's been so wonderful to play with TGF's cute stamps!  And the previews of the January stamps have started and they are so cute too!  But I am looking forward to concentrating on the teams that I am still on.  It was getting a bit crazy for me to be on 3 so I don't know how other people do it being on so many more! As part of the Farmer Farewell, we got to CASE another member of the DT.  I chose to case this card by Kelli .  I love Kelli's bright colors and this card was so much fun. Kelli's card was a shaker card.  At first I thought I'd just case her layout but then decided to do the shaker card too since I hadn't made one in a really long time.  I used one of my favorite beans, Glisten Bean.  The papers are all from Doodlebug's new Lovebirds.  It's a Valentine's themed pad but I love the colors and it's so perfect for everyday too.  I may just have to go buy another!  The sentiment was heat

All That Scraps December Review

Hello everyone!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  Our kids had a great time and they are a bit sad that Christmas is over already!  Every year I am amazed at all the generous gifts they receive from family and friends.  I hope they realize that! Today is a Sweet November review day at All That Scraps . This card features Love Birds.  The sentiment is from Starry Sentiments and is stamped on the Banner Day die.  I also used CC Designs Big Hearts dies.  The DP is the new Doodlebug Lovebirds pad.  Love Doodlebug paper pads! Took a nice day off from crafting today.  Spent the whole morning and again in the evening opening presents with the kiddies.  Actually though, I spent lots of time cleaning up after them!  So much wrapping paper.  Tomorrow I will try to take down the tree decorations.  Our tree is not looking too fresh anymore.  Hopefully I'll be doing some crafting too. Thanks for reading!

Merry Christmas!!!

Hello!!  We are getting so excited for Christmas!!  I just have to vacuum the living room and the rest of the stairs, and I'll be all set.  I don't know why but I always end up cleaning the house right before Christmas.  No one comes over but it feels so much better that way.  Though it does just get messy with all the opening of presents.  My middle one is not feeling so great right now but hopefully he'll be all better by tomorrow. Here's a little card I've made with Wild Rose Studio's Bella on Present.  I love her so much!  The sentiment is from CC Designs. Here's a little close up. These are the ornaments we made this year.  I had bought this Sizzix die last year.  They are felt on the front and cardstock on the back so they could write down their Christmas memories.  The one on the left was decorated by my youngest.  I thought he'd decorate it more but left it clean and simple.  My daughter turned hers into a girl, of course with long ha

Kitty Bee Designs calendars

Hello!  It's such a wet and rainy day here.  We stayed in and made our ornaments.  I'll share them on another day.  Today I wanted to share more calendars!  A couple of months ago I went to a local stamp show and bought some cute clear stamps from Kitty Bee Designs .  They are simple and small, and fit just right next to the calendars. The bear's heart comes blank.  I added the hugs which is from CC Designs.  I also added some glossy accents to his heart and eyes/ears.  The elephant's ears were a big wider so there's a small overlap here.   This bear comes with a butterfly but since I cut her out I added the small butterfly from an MS punch. This bunny was everyone's favorite!   All of these calendars were made the same as before.  You can make 2 from one 8.5 x 11 inch cardstock. Every year I think I say the same thing.  I'll start early making calendars as gifts but somehow I always wait til the last minute!  I have 2 more lef

Thanks so much, TGF!

Hi everyone!  So today I posted my last entry for The Greeting Farm .  It's mostly sad but I do get to have more time now.  Maybe I'll crochet something.  That would be relaxing.  I still have a bunch of yarn that I bought thinking I could make a hat or something.  I'll have to get back to that. I made a little thank you card for Marie and Jess of TGF for letting me be a part of the DT.  My very first DT.  This gal is from an old TGF set called Hope & Grace.  I actually won my first TGF challenge using her on a card.  I hope my coloring skills have improved since then! My kids are starting to get the hang of this vacation.  My boys woke up at 8 this morning!  Sadly I was already awake.  I was anticipating their early wake up and started breakfast.  I think tomorrow the kids and I will be making some gingerbread men ornaments. Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps December Review

Hi!  Just a quick little post.  It's review day at All That Scraps .  I kind of like how this came out!  This image is called French Lilith.  The sentiment is from Starry Sentiments and the stars are part of the Moon stamp that I fussy cut out.  She looks kind of cool to me. Please check out the rest of the DT's creations HERE .  Well, that is about it!  Thanks for reading!

Birthday time

Hello!  I don't think I shared this card that I made for Rosemary Bridges for her birthday.  We did a special post for her over at Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts blog . I used Yumi Peace Sign and tried to make it really feminine and pink-y.  The sentiment and tag is from PTI.  The pretty floral papers are from Wild Rose Studio. Here's a close up.  I ended up fussy cutting her out.  Ever since I started using more digi stamps I have been outlining the black lines with my black Copic multiliner pen when I use my rubber/clear stamps to get a more defined black line.  That is one of the things I like about digi stamps.  The lines print so dark and perfect!  Sometimes when I stamp my lines they are defined here and there with some not so dark.  I especially like to darken up the eyes.  I also use the chisel end of my black Copic marker to cover any white that shows after fussy cutting.  I don't use the brush end cause I'm afraid the sharp edge of the paper could mess

Sister Stamps calendars

Hello.  It's about time I shared these calendars I made featuring Miyoko from Sister Stamps.  These are the same girls I colored up and shared in this post . I made these for my kids' teachers.  I placed apples in Miyoko's hands instead of the usual cupcakes. Two more.  These were pretty quick to make and coloring the Sister Stamps girls are simple and fast.  I love that I can a bunch in a short time.  I'm working on 5 more to give my youngest one's teachers.  As promised, here are the Copic colors I used for their hair.  This one I used Y21, Y32, E31. Y21, YR14, E15, E18  E33, E35, E57, E59 C1, C3, C5, C8, 100 Here's the side view of the calendar.  It can fold flat for easy mailing and opens to stand.  Simple to make! Be safe everyone!  And thanks for reading!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Favorite Holiday Memory!

Hello!  This week's FFF at The Greeting Farm is to create a project depicting your favorite holiday memory.  And it can be any holiday, not just Christmas.  I used Amelia from Just for You set.  I think she's got some muffins or cupcakes in that pan.  Yum.  But I thought this related well to one of my kids' favorite things to do around Christmas.  They love to go over to their Great-Grandma's house to bake cookies.  And I love to eat them!  Hehe.  I wrapped some gifts today!  Yay, still have lots more to do but slowly getting there.  And it's actually getting cold here too.  But I can't wait to just hang out at home without having to drive anywhere.  We are total homebodies. Oh, and is it time for The Vampire Diaries again?   Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps Review -- CC Designs

Hello!  Just a quick post to share some little Valentine's Day treat holders.  Yes, I wrote Valentine's Day!  I know it's not Christmas yet but All That Scraps is way ahead of the game and has released some cute Valentine's stamps. The Meoples are back!  This set is called Love is in the Air.  It comes with the three images here and some cute little conversation hearts kind of sentiments. I added some glossy accents to the heart which doesn't show up here but looks super shiny in person. Here's the girl.  The little holders are from PTI.  The hearts are from MFT. I thought I'd save these to give to some teachers next year.  I know I'll have to make more. I also wanted to share this.  It's exactly how I feel about exercise!  I love these ecards.  They always crack me up! Thanks for reading!

TGF's December Retro-Fresh!

Hello!  Back again to share TGF's December Retro-Fresh challenge .  This month is to create a Christmas/Holiday card using non-traditional colors.  I made 2 cards.  The first was a mistake because I forgot that it was retro-fresh and the stamp I used was a new one, not at least 6 months old.  So I made another one in the same style. This was my first card but I used WS James!  Everything is heat embossed in white onto black cardstock.  That's pretty non-traditional right?  The sentiments are from CC Designs. Here's my second one that has WS Ryan.  Same but different. Check out TGF's blog for more non-traditional Christmas/Holiday cards! Thanks for reading!
