thank you for always being there

Hello!  I made this card and listed it in my Etsy shop but forgot to share it here.  I used Mama Elephant's new stamp set called Cub Cuddles.  The images and sentiments in this set are just as cute as the ones in Bear Hugs.  I only made this one card with the set because I think I'm getting a little burnt out making cards!  But I do love this one and I love the background colors.  I used distress inks to blend in the background. There are tiny stars that were made with MFT's star stencil.  So happy I got the stencils cause it's a lot easier to make stars in the background with a stencil than stamping each one, which is how I used to make them.  I added Stickles to random stars. The Mom sentiment is from Lawn Fawn while the thank you sentiment comes with the Cub Cuddles set.  Oh, I also added some new confetti into the shop. Thin cut red apples.  For teachers and school related projects. Thin cut green apples. Th...

mother's day cards

Hello!  I have a couple of Mother's Day cards to share today.  I had a whole bunch of these Birdie Brown elephants colored up so thought I'd better get them onto some cards. And I got to use my Minc machine and do some foiling for the sentiments.  Overall, I think the Minc machine is not always a 100%.  Sometimes I'll have to just toss the sentiment cause the foil will be spotty in some areas.  I'm not sure if it's the brand of foil that makes a difference or not.  I've used both Deco foil and Heidi Swapp's foil and both will be spotty at times.  And maybe sometimes I like things to be perfect and maybe people won't scrutinize things the way I do and hold them up to the light and stare and look for imperfections.  But I think some people are just like me and will do exactly that.  I also do this with cardstock!  Especially white cardstock.  Before printing something I'll have to make sure the cardstock does not have any spots!...

Yay, more cards!

Hello!  Hmm, I did not know what to title this post since I wanted to share different themed cards.  So, sorry about the weird post title.  Recently I got a new laser printer so I've been printing out some digital images to color.  It's like rediscovering all these cute images I've had stored on my computer. But before I share the cards with digital images, I thought I'd sneak this one in too.  It's another baby card similar to the ones in the previous post but gender neutral.  I like the cute duck!  Anyway, same details, image is from The Greeting Farm and sentiment from Papertrey Ink . I scrolled through my digi images and found all these Wryns by Tiddly Ink so I made this cute and simple Easter card.  Those little bunnies are irresistible! Then I colored up this one for Mother's Day.  It was so nice to color these images without worrying about smearing the black lines.  So I was happy.  That's it for now!  Th...

Mother's Day Cards

Unfortunately I'm not so organized to have made this year's Mother's Day cards yet. At this rate, that's probably not going to happen. These are from last year when I was on my coloring Ketto phase. It's not particularly "mother"-ish but after I colored them, I realized Mother's Day was coming up, why not make cards out of these. Hmm, maybe I needed to color some ground for the girls to stand on. Now they're looking like they're leaning to the side. The dangly hearts also looked better in my head than they did on the card, but it was too humbug to remove. After seeing this card again, I'm thinking I need to follow some card sketches. But there's something just so easy about sticking the main image on there with a scalloped border, then a ribbon slider tag on the bottom. Well, hope everyone is having a good weekend. I'm going to try to catch the last episode of Lost online then go to sleep! Or maybe just go to sleep. My kids usu...
