All That Scraps May Review

Hello!  It's time to review Sweet November Stamps over at All That Scraps .  I made a quick and simple card using Mia's Kite and some pretty papers from Echo Park's Sweet Girl.  Also did some simple paper piecing so this card didn't take me too long to make. Here's a little close up of Mia.  She looks so carefree.  I don't think I've ever flown a kite or maybe my hubby had tried with the kids when they were younger but I don't think it worked very well. I already feel like this week is flying by!  My oldest will be traveling to the East Coast next week for an American History tour all by herself!  Well, okay, there will be 40 or so other kids and some adult chaperones but still it's hard to let your kids travel without mom or dad.  And all the preparation for it makes me feel stressed out!  They suggested we pack each outfit in a Ziplock bag so it's easier for the kids to just grab a bag a day to get ready.  But so many other details

A birthday

Hello!  I've been busy making a lot of teacher stuff.  You know with 3 kids there is an endless amount of teachers!  I try not to get too carried away.  I have to wrap a few more gifts and I should be done.  But I'll have to share those on another day.  Today I have a birthday project to share.  It's my cousin's birthday so I thought I'd make a little something for her. This stamp is another Uptown Girl called Isabelle loves her ice cream.  She's such a fun stamp and the sentiment is funny too.  If only the sentiment were true.  I made an envelope to hold a gift certificate. I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and used some heat to quicken up the drying process.  I should've left the vellum to cool down a bit before gluing it on cause then it got all wonky.  Sigh. So did any of you watch The Vampire Diaries?  Happy that Damon and Elena have a chance to be together but did you see how sad Stefan was?  I was so sad!  And then to be trapped in a coffi

Hello!  Just a reminder that Yumi & Fumi Handmade is in the middle of a challenge right now.  Challenge #16 is Anything But a Card .  Because it is almost the last day of school for my son I wanted to create a little holder for a gift certificate that I got for his teacher.  Most stores have gift cards these days but this place has gift certificates instead so I just made a little envelope to tuck it into. I made it large enough to hold the GC and also the little beaded apple charm I bought from Handmade Cuties .  The front of the envelope features Yumi with Bookbag .  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I used purple and yellow since that is the school's colors. Be sure to check out what Denice has created too! Gonna be a short post today.  Still have lots of laundry to do and I need to finish up a few more cards! Thanks for stopping by!

All That Scraps May Review

Hello!  Hope everyone enjoyed Mother's Day!  I got a lot of sweet gifts that the kiddies made at school.  Don't you just love the cute ideas the teachers think of?  My older boy wrote me a 2 page letter!  I will save it and probably embarrass him with it when he gets older.  Maybe for his first girlfriend or at his wedding?  Haha, I'm a mean mommy.  Anyway, back to sharing my creation for All That Scraps May Review .  Here's my card featuring Tumbleweeds Zoom .  The sentiment is from Sunny Sentiments .  I thought it'd be cute if I added the little birdies from the Birdie Day stamp set.  They're hitching a ride!  I love these birdies!  They are perfect little add ons to any card.  And I've had that paper forever.  It's really one of my favorites and I found a piece large enough to make this card.  It's so fun and cheery and bright! Have you noticed that All That Scraps has been bringing in a lot of new products?  I want to get everything!  T

Here are 2 little birdies and a cute sentiment from Fly Away With Me .  There is also a matching set of dies for this set so cutting will be simple.  But I just cut around it by hand too.  Not too difficult.   A little close up so you can see the birdies' faces.  The other thing that is so great about clear sentiments -- you can curve them!  Be sure to check out more of the clear stamps preview HERE . I have been feeling lazy this whole week!  But I better get on it and start crafting.  Just a few more days until the end of the school year.  This school

My card features Josie and Jilly's Chat .  Aren't they sweet?  The sentiment is from AmyR Sunny Sentiments .  I used my current favorite Spellbinders labels 29 as the card base but then realized that the middle point sticks out a bit more than the others so it doesn't stand evenly but tips to the side.  But I still like this shape and this card.  I added some ribbon and pearls.   A close up.  I added some Stickles on their wings and the string that connects their cans.  Check out more of the preview HERE .  The other day I realized that my crafting tweezers are pretty handy.  Not only did I use them to pull out a small splinter in my finger but I also used them to pull out some cerea

Here is a little close up photo.  You can check out more inspiration from the DT HERE . Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hello!  All That Scraps has a new release for May!  Today we're previewing some cute CC Designs stamps. This pretty little girl is May Day Birgitta .  Love how sweet she is with those flowers!  The sentiment is from AmyR Sunny Sentiments and includes some of the sweetest sayings!  I added some (a lot of!) Prima flowers that I got from a couple of generous and thoughtful ladies.  I think I am all set with flowers now!  I added that new Spellbinders die cut labels I got behind her.  I love that shape now and it's going to be popping up everywhere. Here's a close up.  She is so perfect for any occasion. Check out more of the preview HERE and the May release is available May 6th. Thanks so much for dropping by!

Yumi & Fumi Handmade Mother's Day!

Hello!  There is still time to enter Yumi & Fumi Handmade Crafts Challenge #15 to create a shaped card for the mother figure in your life. Here is my card featuring Yeti Yumi .  She was released last winter and holds a string of Xmas lights.  But I thought I could change it up a bit by adding some flower shaped rhinestones over the lights.  So now she could be holding a lei or maybe even a fancy necklace for mom.  I love Yumi's jacket!  So cute.  Not really sure where she could be wearing that to if she lived in Hawaii though (maybe Ice Palace??).  But my daughter is always cold and always wears a jacket so I can image her wearing something like this. Denice has also created a pretty shaped card for this challenge so please head over HERE or HERE to check it out! Thanks for stopping by!
