crafting this and that

Hello!  I was wondering do you tell people you meet that you like to make cards and stamp and blog as well?  Or do you try to keep that private?  I think for the most part, Chery and I started this blog to share our creations but wanted to keep our lives private.  Ha, I guess it's kind of too late for me.  Have you ever Googled your name?  Too much info!  I don't generally tell people that I have this big hobby.  In fact, I only recently told my mom about my blog.  I don't even think she understands entirely why I make cards.  She just wants me to sell them.  Always the entrepreneur.  Anyway, a few weeks ago our local Ben Franklin Crafts had a card contest .  We could only use stamps from 3 local companies.  I had my boys enter too but we all didn't win.  My older boy already had something in mind to buy if he won.  Such an optimist.  This was for Sister Stamps category.  Love Miyoko!  ...

Another a little bookmark.  This one I made for my older son.  He loves this stamp from Dandelion Designs!  I think it is super cute too. Some times when I stare too long at this stamp, I think their eyes could be their nostrils and you could stick some googly eyes on top.  Well, maybe it's just me. It was my daughter's birthday the other day and I was going crazy trying to find the birthday card I had made for her some weeks ago.  I guess I hid it too well and I forgot where I hid it!  Usually I put all my finished cards into a little filing box but I couldn't find hers.  I searched for a good couple hours every where on my crafting desk and my cabinets and through all my papers.  Still couldn't find it.  And so I told my husband that I thought someone took it!  In retrospect, it sounds a little ridiculous.  So I decided to give her a different card I had made.  I knew that once I wrote in that card that I would find her o...

So it was a really productive weekend in terms of crafting and shopping!  Yay!  First let me share a picture of the cute Lesportsac bag I bought yesterday.  It's one of their newest prints and I had a 15% off coupon.  It was surprising that my hubby was okay with me buying it.  I think he still feels guilty since I missed out on the tokidoki bag that was a really good deal on hautelook.com. On to my Boys' Day post.  Boys' Day is May 5th and I ran across this post on Dandelion Designs.  See HERE .  It inspired me to make these for my son's preschool class.  Just stamp, cut and tape.  I put a little label in the back with who it's from.
