Yay!

Hello!  It's a totally dreary day today.  What happened to the sunshine?  And it's COLD!  Hoping the weather clears up this week. Lately I guess I've been in a challenge kind of mood cause I got a card done for TGF's Birthday Celebrations and MarkerPop's Anything Goes .  This is the first time I inked up Up Up Bean from TGF.  Well, that was a weird sentence -- 3 ups in a row!  I had a background done in distress ink watercolors but then decided not to use it after I placed her on a white background.  She looked so much better on the plain white since she is so colorful.  Yeah, I don't know why I used all the colors I did but she seems okay with all of them.  Around the border is Lil Inkers stitched rectangle die and the sentiment (heat embossed in gold) is from CC Designs.  Sequins from Doodlebug. Here's another view.  Totally love her cute look!  With all the my other hobbies and making just CAS cards, I have...

Bright Pinky Pink & some gold too

Hello!  Wow, so I made a card today to join in on a couple challenges!  Amazing, right?  The first challenge is TGF's Pinky Pink and the second is MarkerPOP's Bright Colors . Okay, so I had this little Glisten Bean from TGF colored up (with Copics) for a while now.  But I didn't know what to add her onto until this morning when I saw Splitcoaststamper's neat watercolor bokeh tutorial .  Mine is not so much bokeh but I wanted to try the white ink stencil over some watercolored distressed ink. I added Lawn Fawn's hello die cut in gold and some sequins.  I think it's pretty bright too! That's it for now.  I'll be back Friday for some new Sister Stamps!

somebunny loves you

Hi!  Woohoo, another day, another card and another post!  Yes, my kids are all done with summer school!  No more crazy driving schedule so it's been a bit more relaxing.  I stayed up later than usual to finish this card for Tiddly Ink's Challenge #91 which is a sketch and MarkerPop's Challenge #3 which is Black & White or Sepia .  I think this is my very first time coloring an image totally black and white.  I wasn't going to participate in the challenge cause I was nervous coloring but thought I should give it a try and jump right in.  And I think I like the results so I may try it again. I printed out Tiddly Ink's Somebunny loves you Wryn and sentiment.  Then just colored with my cool gray and black Copics.  I didn't think I'd use the bunny and carrot Doodlebug papers but glad I saved them.  I used my Perfect Layers rulers to mat the papers and the sentiment too. I added some Stickles to Wryn's bunny ears, hair pin and...

Sister Stamps

Hi!  Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments in my previous post !  I'm still really excited and can't wait til I can share my first TGF post!  I know I have to get back into a regular posting routine.  Still just hard to find time to craft these days.  I spend so much time just driving!  I realized the other day that it takes me more than an hour to pick up my last 2 kiddies from each of their schools in the afternoon.  So by the time I get home, my butt is sore from sitting so long!  I love Friday afternoons when I know I can start coloring and stamping.  Last night I finished up a set of cards using Sister Stamps new release.  This has got to be my favorite release of theirs.  So much so that I went to buy them at Cute Stuff the day they were released only to find that the one I really love was already sold out!  What the heck?  I guess everyone else loves it too!  But I did complete the set the next day ...
