Summer Days

Hi!   Remember Grease, the movie?  That is one of my favorite movies.  Love all the songs and it was on TV again last night as I was washing the dishes.  I thought it was a nice coincidence since my project I just completed was somewhat inspired by that Summer Nights song and just summer in general. Wouldn't it be nice if it wasn't so rainy here?  Storming again today and couldn't take nice pictures in the gloomy weather.  Anyway, I had mentioned I was into this 3D paper piecing technique as shown HERE .  This is the project that has been driving me a bit bonkers.  Maybe I was trying to do too much into one project and I kept changing my mind on what I should do.  So it took me much longer to finish this than I had planned.  It's not quite how I had envisioned it at first but I guess it's okay and I'm glad to be done with it and move on.  Oh, and this project is also for TGF's Retro-fresh challenge--a whole new dimension . ...

December 2012

Hi!  I have finally finished the last month of my 2012 calendar/scrapbook page using the Pure Innocence year of flowers series!  I just have the cover to make now but I think I will use another MFT sketch for that too. So here's the sketch for this week at MFT and it really threw me a little.  Really different looking. I used Pure Innocence Holly Girl stamp and paper pieced her dress.  Close up.  I love that little red bow!  I bought it from a local store here.  The 2 pages side by side.  I am so happy to be done with the pages.  Just hopefully I'll actually fill it up with some small photos too! I'll also be entering this in All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge--Anything Goes . Thanks for reading!

School Time

Hi!  Just a quick post since it's getting late.  I wanted to join in on TGF's Mystery Monday for the week and it's almost the deadline. This is just the cover to the next book I'm planning to make.  This is TGF's Annika, one of my first stamps and also one of my favorites.  She is just so cute!  Anyway, I plan to make this into a 6x6 scrapbook of the elementary school years.  So each couple of pages will be dedicated to a specific grade so you can add that school year's picture and record some special memories.  Behind Annika is cork that I bought in a 12x12 size and die cut.  It has a sticky back so that was convenient too.  Just wanted to try that since I was at Ben Franklin today and at J's.  Heehee.  Two craft stores in a day but I still didn't get everything I wanted!  J's was already sold out of TGF's Blush line.  Insert sad face here.  Oh well. Off to bed for me.  Thanks for reading!
