crafting this and that

Hi!  I didn't feel like cleaning much today (I'm sure I'll be paying for it later).  Instead I made a simple corner bookmark/card for my daughter who will be turning 10 soon.  I can't believe she is in the double digits now--there's no turning back!  Sigh, where does the time go?  So I thought I'd use the rainbow colors inspiration from TGF's Which Card Wednesday .  And also will be submitting this into Paper Sundaes Challenge #88-- Anything Goes . I used TGF's Birthday Anya 2 who is such a cutie.  My daughter loves her.  I colored her dress pretty simply in rainbow colors and tried to make rainbow colored sprinkles on her cupcake.  Added some stickles too.  The numbers are die cut from PTI's numbers set.  The kraft cardstock is embossed with Cuttlebug's birthday folder. Hi!  I made a little something for TGF's Which One Wednesday Sketch #10 , Ribbon Carousel's Challenge 18 All Tied Up (use more than 1 spool item) , and Some Odd Girl Challenge Paper Piecing . When I saw the sketch, it reminded me of a Double Pocket Card.  See HERE for a tutorial.  But I didn't follow the tutorial.  I made the bottom boxes in the sketch into pockets.  One to hold a gift card and the other to hold a little card for a message. I used TGF's Vivi.  She is popped up a bit on the first pocket. Vivi is paper pieced and I found my stash of bells after searching all my crafting bins.  I tied one on to the end of her cap with some twine and added some flower soft too. Hi!  I made a quickie card to join in the WOW--Color Splash challenge over at TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge .  The challenge is to use black & white with a splash of color.  It's a pretty basic card.  I found this black & white cardstock in my stash, colored up TGF's Peace, and placed that rub on sentiment (Stampin' Up!) in the corner.  I used PTI's rickrack die and used it to cut the orange strips from velvet paper (Doodlebug).  It's really soft!  I colored the rhinestones orange and then I was done! Even my daughter thought it was fast.  She also thought the colors were too Halloween-y.  That's okay though cause I like that it was a quick card and still cute too.  That's it for me.  I must go to sleep now--so tired! Hi!  Maybe I should be sleeping already.  But it's summer and I feel like just doing nothing and crafting all day and sleeping really late at night.  And I made a card.  A quickie kind of card inspired by TGF's WOW sketch #6 .  After making all these cutesy, pinky, little princess stuff I thought I'd make a boy card plus play with new stamps and paper.  Here's Tyler from TGF's Creepin set.  Mostly I picked him cause he matched my paper and I've been wanting to use this paper that I won from Die Cuts r us a little while ago.  On the reverse side of the guitars was the red sheet printed with cassette tapes!  Wow, do kids know what that is nowadays?  Also used Lawn Fawn's Teeny Tiny Backdrops for the music notes and the red music notes were die cut from MFT dies.  Pretty simple and straightforward card. Hi!  This is my last traveling summer journal.  I made this for my older son.  He loves this TGF stamp of Oliver holding the dinos because he loves dinos too.  I used the sketch over at TGF's Farm Fresh Challenge Which One Wednesday for the cover of his journal. I had specific instructions from my son to color Oliver's dinos just like his.  So I used my son's toy dinos as inspiration. See?  My son and his dinos. Here's the title page.  Similar to the one I made for my daughter.  I used some fun green binding instead of silver though.  I also used this Oliver stamp to make a bookmark for my younger son.  And he wanted to copy his brother so pretty much used all the same colors to color Oliver and the dinos. Hi!  We're traveling this summer vacation so I thought I'd make a travel journal for the kids.  I thought it would be nice for the kids to write or draw in it and maybe even paste pictures and store some souvenirs from the trip.  It'll be their first little scrapbook.  I used the Which One Wednesday sketch over at TGF Farm Fresh Challenge for the cover of my project. So I broke my rule of no new stamps and bought this Surfer Ian and also Surfer Anya cause now that there is a boy and girl you have to have both right?  And I bought them online over at Little Craft House .  It was probably one of the fastest orders I've ever received.  I ordered them on a Tuesday and then got them that same week on Saturday so I got to use them right away. Hi!  Here's a card inspired by TGF's Which One Wednesday Spring Challenge and also All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge (anything goes) .  I loosely followed sketch #141 from Friday Sketchers .  So sad that I only got to participate in their last sketch before they shut their doors.  But they still have a bunch of great sketches that are all new to me so I thought I'd try them. I'm proud of this card because I used old papers and a stamp (TGF's Summer from the Roll Call set) I haven't used yet.  And I've had that sentiment for a while too now.  So I'm really trying to reduce my paper supply and ink up each of my stamps. I used floral shaped pins again behind the felt grass.  I cut the grass with shredder scissors.  We bought it to shred important papers but they work pretty well for cutting grass.  I added the rhinestones onto the pins and larger rhinestones on the brown twine over the grass.  I also found another use for fun foam!...
