2017 desktop calendar & new flower sequins!

Hello!  Okay, I'm slowly using up these 2017 calendars!  I still have 3 more to use so hopefully I can get motivated and finish them.  I did finish one calendar using Mama Elephant's Lunar Animals stamp set.  Kind of similar to the ones I made last year except these are a bit larger because I used the tear off calendars instead of the color printed ones. Here are all the animals from the set.  I just adhered all the calendar pages onto this yellow cardstock which has a bit of a shimmer to it.  Then I used my Cinch to punch all the holes at the top. I made a cover with the year and used some green wire binding. Here is a side view. And this is how it looks standing up.  Love this cute bunny! I also brought in 2 different flower sequins recently.  One is pink and the other a clear iridescent color.  These are different from the other flowers in my shop, not only in color but shape and size.  These new ones are more of an ...

craft fair tomorrow!

Hello!  Just dropping in real quick to mention that I'll be at my first craft fair of the year tomorrow, Sunday, April 3rd at the NBC Hawaii Suites.  I am still in the process of trying to finish some cards!  At some point real soon, I think I will give up.  Maybe after I make 4 more cards.  I think that is the most I can handle and still price everything and print out some signs and such.  It took me a week or so to pack up all my confetti!  I ended up sorting through some so that's why it took me so long.  It's not just scoop and pour into a baggie although I wish they all were like that. Here they are all packed!  I must say I love that they look so organized!  I bought these Ziplock containers, I think they are 9x6 inches.  I cut some chipboard and scored them to the right sizes to make little dividers between each row.  Hopefully, that will make it easier to sort through them.  Some cards I was able to finish ...

cute confetti!

Hello!  I finally completed listing a bunch of new confetti.  These are all so cute!  I decided to make 2 sections of confetti in my Etsy shop, one section has thin cut confetti and the other is just the regular cut ones (they feel thicker). These tiny stars measure just 2mm!  They are my favorite right now.  The white ones are so sparkly, I think they are like diamonds!  Haha, I wish. Also added these cute 3mm hearts.  Similar to the thin cut ones I already have listed in the store. These concentric circles are fun too!  They remind me of bubbles and I think they would be great for summer cards and scrapbook pages. More snowflake confetti but in pink and silver to go along with the white ones I have listed in the store. Green and orange maple leaves confetti.  These are fun too! And lastly, these pretty and cute flower confetti.  The first photo is pretty bright, isn't it?  It's...

Craft Fair #4 Review, cards & ramblings

Hello!  Yesterday, we attended the fair at Hawaii Kai Retirement Center.  It was a pretty short fair, only about 4 hours but the time did crawl at some points!  It was kind of a different fair for me and a different crowd.  Less crafty people for customers, I think.  I'm so used to speaking with people who like to make cards and stamp, and I think I kind of missed that yesterday.  But all in all, a good experience. But someone did ask me how I have the time to make so many crafts.  And then she asked if I work.  I still have to get used to answering questions like that.  Do you work?  Do you have a job?  What do you do?  I'm so used to saying no, I don't work.  But really I think I have a 24 hour job.  I don't have a regular 9-5 job.  I work all the time even in my sleep!  As a parent, do you sleep so soundly that you don't wake up when you hear a noise?  Ever since having children, I haven't slept we...

more sequins!

Hello!  So sorry, I am not very good with blogging these days.  I spent about 2 weeks sewing 8 tote bags in 3 different sizes.  Two more tote bags to go.  I also sewed up 6 pot holders and 4 fabric wine bags.  Lots to share but not today.  Ha, I'm not ready yet.  The only thing I can share today is the sequins I just got and sorted.  Yes, I sort the sequins!  It's pretty time consuming and also gives me a sore back and shoulder.  But I don't want to pack up those tiny broken bits that are floating in the package and I try to pick out the deformed ones. These are super tiny 3 mm flower shaped sequins.  Or confetti or glitter or whatever you'd like to call them.  They are so cute. I just listed them in my etsy store. Oh, did I blog about this one?  I love these too.  They are super tiny about 1 mm.  They are tiny little beads you can also mix into your shaker cards with sequins.  Or use them in r...

kawaii supplies -- sequins!

Hello!  Just wanted to share that my Etsy store is open again.  There are less cards available so I'll have to make more.  But I did add in another section called kawaii supplies and my first additions are tiny little sequins. These are 5 mm snowflake sequins.  They are very sparkly, tiny and so cute.  I can imagine lots of Christmas themed shaker cards with these.  I am still experimenting with taking photos of sequins.  So hard to get just the right lighting and then not to make them overblown during the photo editing. These are about 3-4 mm stars and hollow stars.  These are very cute too. Here is a pink version of the stars and hollow stars mix.  Again, these are tiny. And the last set I added are pink hearts and hollow hearts.  They are also about 3-4 mm.  If you're interested in these just click on my Etsy store found on the side bar. I'm hoping to add more supplies into my store and still also make handmade ...
