TGF's Wild Sprout Jess!!

Hi!  July is Jess's bday month so Marie decided to have a little fun with our trusty DT coordinator and decided to introduce her as a Sprout!   WS Jess is available in the TGF store beginning today (July 10th) as a digital download.   Click HERE for Wild Sprout Jess! Isn't Wild Sprout Jessica the cutest?  I love her glasses!  And with her long hair parted to the side, she looks a lot like my daughter too!  What do you think, Cheryl?  I'll just quickly go over this card.  I stamped the hearts from TGF's Blush Hearts first.  Then I heat embossed the words from TGF's Blush Hello and the Splotchy set over the hearts.  The red sentiment was also heat embossed and is from TGF's July release Blush Bettie.  I tied on some pink twine and added some pink rhinestones.  I colored in Jess with my Copics. Check out the cute and awesome cards created by some of the other DT members too over on TGF's blog ! I'll be back later ...

from the bottom of my heart

Hi!  I thought I would squeeze in a quick post before I go do my first school pick up of the day.  TGF has a new sketch over on SCS and my card today was inspired by it.  The sketch was created by our Challenge Captain Peggy Toole . This is my simple take of the sketch.  I used TGF's Blush Thanks and heat embossed it on a Cheery Lynn Heart diecut.  Then I also stamped and heat embossed those spots on the edges of the heart using TGF's Splotchy set.  A little close up.  I added some pearls too.  The base of the card was impressed with PTI's woodgrain impression plate. I hand wrote the sentiment on PTI's tag die cut and added that pretty flower I recently bought from Taj, a local store here.  The leaves are from Maya Road.  I'm trying to be better about mentioning the actual products I use but I'm not in the habit of listing the Copic colors I used.  If that is something you want to know, leave a comment or email....

U R picture perfect

Hi!  Another post!  We had a short power outage yesterday and gosh, darn it, didn't know what to do with myself.  So I cleaned my desk and did the bills and tried to organize myself.  But when the power came back on, we still didn't have internet connection.  Ugh!  So I looked through my digis and printed them out to color.  Good thing I remembered the challenge for Tiddly Inks!  I made a quick card last night for Tiddly Inks latest challenge #90 -- use Red, White and Blue . I went with another simple design.  I printed Picture Perfect Wryn onto white PTI cardstock and just folded it in half.  I printed the sentiment and cut it into a fishtail banner.  The U and R are die cut with PTI's alphabet dies using their felt.  I actually wanted to sew the sentiment onto the card but since I don't know how to use my sewing machine, I used this rickrack ribbon to kind of give it that idea. I colored Wryn up with Copics.  I w...

Sister Stamps

Hi!  Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments in my previous post !  I'm still really excited and can't wait til I can share my first TGF post!  I know I have to get back into a regular posting routine.  Still just hard to find time to craft these days.  I spend so much time just driving!  I realized the other day that it takes me more than an hour to pick up my last 2 kiddies from each of their schools in the afternoon.  So by the time I get home, my butt is sore from sitting so long!  I love Friday afternoons when I know I can start coloring and stamping.  Last night I finished up a set of cards using Sister Stamps new release.  This has got to be my favorite release of theirs.  So much so that I went to buy them at Cute Stuff the day they were released only to find that the one I really love was already sold out!  What the heck?  I guess everyone else loves it too!  But I did complete the set the next day ...

another birthday card

Hello.  Surprised that it's me again?!  Well, it was nice to take a vacation this past week with both kids at summer camp, although I still had to work a little from home with everything being computerized nowadays... Anyhow, I made another birthday card, based on the last Card Patterns sketch .  And since it's a summer birthday, thought I'd make something for the Sunshine and Summertime Retro Fresh Challenge . So I don't even know the name of this stamp set, it's the Ian and Anya in their undies, that come with all the different outfits.  Colored the aloha shirt with unblended pencil...does it look like those inside out aloha shirts?  Actually tried inking the inverted scallop circle nestability, the mustard seed distress ink happened to match some yellow cardstock that I had (non-PTI, shocking, I know).  The hibiscus paper is something I got a really long time ago from probably one of the first Creating Keepsakes conventions I ever attended, I can'...

update ...

Hi!  I'm still here ...  But summer is so busy, isn't it?  With my 3 kids all with different schedules, I don't have a huge chunk of time to craft!  Plus I'm so tired by the time it's 10 pm, sometimes earlier, that I just go to sleep!  At least the kiddies are having fun.  Today, my daughter is going to the pool with her summer school math class!  Yeah, some how the teachers have devised a way to learn about math in the pool.  My daughter loves to swim so hopefully she's enjoying the pool at her new school. My son is also at the same summer school and his class is going on a bowling field trip today!  He is lucky.  His class is going on some field trip every Friday. And even my youngest one is having a Field Day at his preschool.  He loves to run around.  So I have about an hour or so everyday before I have to pick up or drop off some one at school.  Next year, I gotta get them all on a similar drop off/pick up schedul...
