Sister Stamps

Hi!  Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments in my previous post!  I'm still really excited and can't wait til I can share my first TGF post!  I know I have to get back into a regular posting routine.  Still just hard to find time to craft these days.  I spend so much time just driving!  I realized the other day that it takes me more than an hour to pick up my last 2 kiddies from each of their schools in the afternoon.  So by the time I get home, my butt is sore from sitting so long!  I love Friday afternoons when I know I can start coloring and stamping.

Last night I finished up a set of cards using Sister Stamps new release.  This has got to be my favorite release of theirs.  So much so that I went to buy them at Cute Stuff the day they were released only to find that the one I really love was already sold out!  What the heck?  I guess everyone else loves it too!  But I did complete the set the next day when I found it at J's Knicknacks.  At least I got to spread the love to a couple of my favorite crafty stores!

I went very clean and simple on these since time is a factor these days.  I have to say I love them all so much.

This is Mariko.  She's so cute!  I colored these with my Copics on PTI's white cardstock.  I had forgotten how nice it is to color on this.  I have been using the  X-press it blending paper for a while now which is nice too but different.  The little tag die and sentiment is also from PTI.  I tied on a silky crushed ribbon from Ribbon Carousel and then used some burlap twine (also from Ribbon Carousel) to tie the tag onto the ribbon.

A little close up.  These stamps always remind me of Cheryl's daughter!

This is Takeo.  Also colored with Copics.  Tied on some burlap twine with a star tag and sentiment.  And all the sentiments were heat embossed in red.

I think he looks so fun!

This is Miyoko and she is my favorite!!  See, so cute and sassy!  Same process for this card as well.

She has some stickles added to her cupcake and flower.

Sorry, kind of lengthy post.  That is what happens when I don't blog regularly.  And I need to still mention what challenges I'm entering these into!  First is to MarkerPop Challenge #1 -- Hair/Fur coloring (entering Miyoko card, I wasn't sure if there is some limit).  They were previously iCopic and took a break from challenges but now they're back!

And lastly, I wanted to say a special thank you to Handmade Cuties for sending me a cute little beaded charm!  She makes the cutest charms and they are so bright and fun in person!  Please check out her Etsy store HERE.

Okay, I think I'm done.  Thanks for reading!

Oh these are cute and you have rocked the coloring! Best coloring I've seen with these images so far! Also love the CAS designs. Cute Stuff - is that your husband's auntie's store? Oh and the magnets - I can't remember where I got them. I know I had to search locally and online for strips and circles that were heavier duty. But it was a while ago, so I can't remember.

Thank You Eva! I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these absolutely adorable, hand crafted cards in the mail!!!! I love everything about these cards. The images are sooo cute and the ribbons with the little tags are too sweet. You put so much work into this. I can't thank you enough for your kindness and generosity...and you do this all between driving around and washing muddy sneakers. It means a lot to me. Thank You! Hugs!

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

It's a short hop list this time around! Perfect Paper Crafting & Laura My Mind's Eye Pam Jenny Eva (Me!) Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...
