thirteen!

Hello!  My daughter turned into a teenager one morning!  We recently celebrated her 13th birthday.  She didn't want a big production over turning 13 even though I thought maybe she'd like to have a dinner or something with a few close friends.  But she's very low key and much like us, a homebody so she didn't want to do anything special except have cheesecake for dessert.  It was a yummy cheesecake!

As usual, I made my traditional bookmark birthday card.

I turned this one into a shaker card too.  I was able to order the foam adhesive sheets from PTI which made it much easier to make this.  And I finally caved and bought this stamp set from Mama Elephant.  I love this set cause they are so cute!  I used the smaller version of the animals for this bookmark.  I was really tempted to buy the matching dies but it is so expensive to buy matching dies for every stamp set!  But it is convenient.  I ended up fussy cutting these out.

Here is a close up of the cute guys!

Sometimes I feel like I'm splitting in a few different directions because I want to do so many different crafts from paper crafts to crocheting and sewing and I even bought resin supplies!  Haven't quite started with that yet but soon.  I need a much larger crafting table and area!

Thanks so much for visiting and leaving such nice comments!

Yowza....13, cheese cake and a shaker card?! I've got to say this card is a winner with the adorable animals. I've got to check out Mama Elephant...I'm not familiar with them (yet!)

That is a gorgeous birthday card and it's a shaker AND bookmark too!!! Can you be my mother? I know what you mean about wanting to try different crafting mediums. Some days I fear that something will fall over in my craftroom and I'll be buried alive. It's a good thing that Mama Elephant dies and stamps take up just a little space. ;D

Hey Eva!
Aww, Happy Birthday to your daughter! This is adorable!! Those Mama Elephant stamps are cute and I'm trying to resist buying them. I have eyed the pandas tho and might cave. hahaha. Wowee love how you did this.
you should look in to wood work and make your own table. I'm sure you'd be awesome at it. :)

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...

I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...
