Happy Easter! (a little late)

Hello!  Happy belated Easter!  Hope it was enjoyable!  We did the usual egg coloring and family dinner.  Then today I cooked a turkey, mashed potatoes and even made gravy.  I think my gravy actually turned out pretty good.  But now I have to get going and start packing up for the craft fair this Sunday, April 3rd.  I actually have to make a ton more cards.

Probably got a bit distracted by crocheting again!  Here is a little bunny amigurumi, pattern by Stephanie Lau (All About Ami).  I love her blog and her patterns!  There are a few more patterns I'd like to try.  And then I learned that my bunny is inside out.  I guess I wondered when I made my first amigurumi if there was a right side and wrong side and it's been a few years since I crocheted so completely forgot about that and so this bunny ended up inside out.  But still cute!  Here is the bunny after I crocheted all the parts.

Here she is sewed together.  I added some felt hearts on her feet and felt lining in her ears.  But I really love the little flower.

Here is a better view of her flower.  I used 9mm safety eyes that I've had from the first amigurumis I made years ago.

This is her back side.  Isn't her tail so cute?  She measures only about 3.5 inches high.  I want to make more amigurumi now but need to get better hooks and needles.  My fingers got a little numb crocheting this one because I used a 2.75mm metal hook.

Lots more to do so I'll end here.  Thanks for stopping by!

nuts and bolts

Hello!  Today I'll be sharing the last amigurumi I made during my crochet frenzy.  I haven't been crocheting much recently except for this one little project I'm kind of procrastinating with.  I really do love this last one because I think it came out really cute. This is a little crocheted robot designed by Bubblegum Belles .  You can find the pattern HERE .  Sometimes I purchase the patterns especially if they are really cute.  But a lot of designers do list their patterns for free too on their blogs so I always check to see if they have a blog or not.  It's also important to read their pattern listing too if you are purchasing to see whether they are for personal use or also for commercial use.  Here is a different view of him.  Happy that he is able to sit on his bottom.  I actually cut out 2 felt hearts using a heart die, blanket stitched them together, and then hot glued the heart to the robot.  I tried stitching one h...

Roxie Recently, I saw these layering tags dies and thought I really wanted those.  I love the look of layered tags so I used my Perfect Layers rulers to make some with My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting papers. I have a tag die from Papertrey Ink so I used that as my smaller tag.  I glued that tag onto kraft cardstock and used my ruler to cut a 1/8th inch border aro...

Snowman gift card holder

Hi!  I was planning to post this last night but I was just too tired to write or think of complete sentences.  It's been a busy week with the boys on Fall break and still trying to finish up a bunch of crafts.  I have been trying to make some crocheted crafts to put in my Etsy shop and finally I'm done with one.  It's a crocheted snowman that can hold a gift card or anything actually that is small enough to fit in the pouch.  The pattern is designed by ChiWei Ranck of One Dog Woof and can be found HERE . Here's the little snowman with his arms folded over in the front to look like he is hugging the card.  I added this fun card that I stamped.  You can definitely add in a gift card too behind this card. The gift card reaches under his nose. This is how the little opening of the pouch looks.  I hope I can make more of these little guys.  These would be so cute for teachers and I think it would be easy to put a little wire throug...
