You make me smile!

Hi!  I've been procrastinating a bit on some challenges lately.  I finally got around to finishing a card for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday Piece it Together.  It's all about paper piecing which I love to do since I don't think Copic coloring is my strong point.  Sometimes it's just easier to cut and paste.

I decided to make a side step card (tutorial from SCS HERE) to feature the animals from TGF's Down By the Pond.  I love to paper piece animals!  I made grass from tissue paper but realized after I glued the flowers on that you can't see much of the grass anymore!  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Hello Friend. 

I love this turtle and bunny!  Both are paper pieced so lots of layering especially on the turtle including the flower cap, his shell and his eyelid.  The carrot is paper pieced too. 

I used vellum to paper piece the goldfish and added some stickles.  The froggy in the background also is paper pieced.

The kids will be heading back to school next week!  I can't believe I'll have all 3 in school now.  Wonder what I should do with my free time?  Hehe.

Sooo cute! Love all the colorful animals! You have such patience to cut all those pieces out! I keep saying I want to try this and haven't done anything yet! Love all your flowers and bubbles!

Wow, girl, you've been busy, lol! This card is too cute - love all of the images, your coloring and the papers! Oh and I finally made it to J's Knickknacks - boy, you are one enabler, lol - they have a lot of good stuff! Thanks for the tip!

TGF 3rd Annual Customer Blog Hop

Hi!  After finishing up these 2 projects for TGF's Blog Hop , I've come to realize that I am kind of addicted to stamps, especially TGF stamps.  Hehe.  Okay, I will not babble on too much since there are lots of other blogs to check out as well.  I made something for both categories, Holiday and General. First up is my Holiday card. I recently acquired Hippie Anya!  She inspired me to make a "peace" card for the holidays. But then I had to add Fleur Anya for "love" ... and 80s Anya for "joy."  So great that these stamps could be turned into something Christmas-y. upcycling Pokemon wrappers

Hello everyone!  I am back with my latest sewing creations.  I have been playing around with plastic wrappers!  I've seen those upcycled plastic wrap bags and purses (usually made from Capri Sun package juice) but never really paid attention to them or how they were made until I saw this tutorial using the wrappers from Pokemon cards.  My boys love Pokemon cards and were just throwing the wrappers away but I started saving them and collected enough from their recent birthdays to make a couple of items.  Here is a little coin pouch (didn't want to call it a purse since it's for my youngest boy and he'd probably not like that).  This little pouch was made with 4 wrappers, 2 in front and 2 in back.  It is a bit tough to turn right side out because the wrappers and contact paper get stiff.  But it's possible and looks really neat!  I made it so he could hang it from the inside of his backpack and also carry around a little bit of emergency...
